Family life has always been at the heart of things here at Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages in Pembrokeshire. The redundant farm buildings have been converted into award winning holiday cottages, combining a child friendly farm experience with indoor leisure facilities. These include a beautiful indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, play areas and garden hot tubs. Coastal West Wales is a glorious area with its wealth of sandy beaches and pebbly bays, the nearest is less than 4.5 miles.

This award winning complex of beautiful barn conversions and holiday cottages is situated in the heart of northern Pembrokeshire surrounded by green fields and rolling countryside. This area really is a little unspoilt corner of paradise with Cardigan Bay and its pod of resident dolphins; the glorious Pembrokeshire Coast National Park offering coastal walks and sandy beaches as well as the historic market town of Cardigan all within 3-5 miles. 

Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages are winners of Best Holiday Complex (over 3 units) in the Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards 2018 and regional winners for Wales and NI in the Rural Business Awards 2018/19 & 2019/20.

Croft Farm has been welcoming holidaymakers to its beautiful cottages and smallholding since 1988. Over the years the barns have been converted and cottages renovated,  thus establishing a luxury cottage and leisure complex.  As a family we've gained good insight and essential experience as to what makes a great family holiday.  

Although we can't make your little ones sleep through the night (or perhaps they can!) we've made sure there are plenty of activities on-site to help children of all ages burn-off their energy. Croft Farm has six acres of farmland perfect for stretching legs. You get a chance to meet our friendly farm animals and join Dave for daily feeding and egg collecting. There's an adventure playground with toddler swings too; an indoor rustic play barn with playhouses, ride-on vehicles, air hockey, table football and more. So they might just sleep soundly after a hard day’s play on the farm, in the pool, or at the beach!

The beautiful indoor swimming pool is usually open all year round.   Guests will be able to enjoy exclusive swimming sessions by booking their times online.  The rustic indoor play barn is great for play in all weathers.  Each cottage is supplied with their own pool cues and table tennis bats. 

There are 8 beautifully renovated stone barns and holiday properties sleeping 2-12, most have a woodburner in the living room for a true country style ambience. There are private garden hot tubs for three of the cottages whilst guests staying in two other properties, The Hayloft and The Cartwheel, share a hot tub (with exclusive use times) - just perfect for relaxing and spending evenings together under the stars in this Dark Sky Area.

When you book a holiday here, you can be assured you will have time to relax and enjoy family time together even with the most active little ones - far from the pressures of your busy routines.

The Dairy sleeps 4 + cot in 2 bedrooms - perfect for young families or couples.  

As the name suggests, this cottage was once the milking parlour for a dairy herd.  Kept pet-free, this luxury cottage oozes character with original exposed beams and rough plastered walls.  Cosy-up by the log burner on cooler evenings. The Dairy is semi-detached with The Barn (larger parties often rent both) and is conveniently located close to the indoor swimming pool. With its own parking space and being mostly ground floor it is suitable for those less mobile.  With two patios you can enjoy breakfast in the morning sun and a barbecue later on in the day in the evening sun.

The entrance porch has plenty of room for buckets and spades as well as welly boots. The living room is open plan with everyone able to be together whether cooking in the kitchen, sitting at the dining table or relaxing on the comfortable sofas in front of the log burner.

The Barn cottage sleeps 7 + cot - Ideal for larger families or family groups

This delightful, dog friendly barn conversion has been carefully converted to retain much of its original character and charm with exposed original beams and roughcast plaster walls.  The enclosed front patio garden is a wonderful suntrap.  Here holidaymakers can also relax under the stars in the luxury hot tub.  

The cottage is entered through a front porch which opens into the main living room with comfy sofas and traditional log burner for those cosy cooler evenings.  The dining area leads into the fully equipped kitchen with everything a larger family may need including dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave. A corridor leads from the living room to the bedrooms whilst the staircase leads up to the charming loft bedroom with low ceilings, the perfect den bedroom for children.

The Granary is a delightful, detached, dog-friendly cottage which sleeps 3 in 2 bedrooms.  Enjoying a secluded position with private garden on-site at Croft Farm, this cottage is entered through an open porch and patio doors which lead both to the garden and the open plan living room. 

This cosy family friendly holiday cottage is fully ground floor and has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The living room, kitchen and dining area are all open plan with a corridor leading to the bedrooms and bathroom. 

Families are encouraged to partake in the farm animal feeding and egg collecting.  The Granary guests have full use of all of the facilities on-site, including adventure playground for all ages.   Please note that ALL indoor facilities are remaining closed until 10 May 2021. The luxury, onsite leisure facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, small gym, pool table and indoor and outdoor play areas with a footie field too.

This is a great cottage for all seasons, and it makes the perfect base to explore this glorious undiscovered West coast of Wales.

The Hayloft offers luxury, home-from-home holidays in a wonderfully light, 2 bedroom apartment with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.  Take a holiday in this beautifully refurbished stone and slate barn conversion, and enjoy exclusive use times in the shared garden hot tub. Holidaymakers have a patio and barbecue area in the gardens.

The exterior slate steps with child-safe railings lead you through the porch and  brightly painted wooden front door into the beautiful fully equipped, modern kitchen with large roof window.  Beyond is the living room with dining area; again this room is very light with a large roof window as well as a dormer window with seat overlooking the garden and rolling Welsh countryside beyond. There are original beams throughout. 

The Hayloft sits above The Cartwheel, (we've soundproofed between for noise reduction) and these 2 properties are often booked by families holidaying together.  The Hayloft and Cartwheel have shared use of the garden hot tub however we currently designate exclusive-use days for each cottage to keep risks to a minimum.

Holidaymakers immediately feel at home in this dog friendly, ground floor cottage. Perfect for young children the Cartwheel kitchen opens onto a garden lawn and outdoor seating area.  Families need no excuses to have their morning cuppa and breakfast in the early sunshine on the patio, nor to dine al fresco!  

The Cartwheel has recently been refurbished to a high standard.  In the newly fitted, country kitchen there’s seating for six at the dining table– you’ve room to have new friends to tea! Follow the corridor to the comfortable sitting room enjoying the cosiness of a log burner, perfect to relax by on cooler evenings. There's a newly fitted bathroom with over-bath shower. Two bedrooms, a double bedroom and a room with bunk beds which children seem to love and there is room for a travel cot too. 

Holidaymakers are assigned exclusive use days for the luxury garden hot tub which is shared with those in The Hayloft.  This is a Certified Dark Sky Area – lie back and relax under the stars.

This cosy, coastal themed, detached cottage offers home-from-home, self-catering holidays.  The Stable is converted from a traditional Welsh stone and slate barn with a white-washed, south facing exterior.  Enjoy meals, drinks and lazy barbecue’s al fresco on the private decking overlooking the front garden.

With all rooms on the ground floor making it suitable for those who find stairs difficult, this homely farm cottage is both child friendly and dog friendly. The Stable is a perfect holiday cottage for young families and couples of all ages with the open plan layout and a traditional log burner to add ambience on cooler evenings.

The Stable cottage has two bedrooms, a double bedroom and a room with full sized single bunk beds as well as a family bathroom with over-the-bath shower. Baby items such as travel cots, high chairs, bed guards, toddler steps and more are available to hire free of charge on request.

The Farmhouse at Croft Farm is a wing of a traditional farmhouse located in rural and coastal Pembrokeshire.

This beautiful, three bedroom, self-catering holiday house has a private garden and also boasts exclusive use of a luxury garden hot tub. The Farmhouse was built from the attractive local stone and slate over a century ago.

Wide steps lead down to the front door opening into a small hallway and leading to the refurbished sitting room with its log burning stove set back on a Welsh slate hearth with oak inglenook. The fully equipped kitchen with feature inglenook and dining area is beyond the living room. Two bedrooms are found on the ground floor, a twin bedroom and a bedroom with full size single bunk beds. There is also a modern shower room. Stairs from the sitting room lead to the master bedroom on the first floor with en suite bathroom and overbath shower.

House layout: Ground floor: twin bedroom, bunk bedroom (full size single mattresses), shower room, sitting room, kitchen. First floor: master bedroom with king-size bed and en suite bathroom.

A holiday here near the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its sandy beaches and rugged coastline, will fill you with good memories for years to come. Relax from the daily strains in the fabulous hot tub under the stars.

This is the largest wing of the original farmhouse which has been beautifully refurbished.  The front hallway leads to the large dining room with bay window overlooking the garden, solid wooden flooring, large French oak dining table and dining chairs. Beyond is the fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with modern, industrial-style lighting and much loved, oil-fired range (September - May) and modern duel-fuel range. The main living room with large traditional country inglenook and wood burner is on the first floor with views towards the Preseli Hills.

Ground floor:- entrance porch, dining room, kitchen, double bedroom with en-suite shower room, twin bedroom with option of a zip-locked super king bed, private conservatory and  bathroom.

Additional Directions Information

By Car:  Once at Cardigan travel south out of Cardigan on A487 towards Fishguard. Approximately 2 1/2 miles from the Cardigan roundabout there is a minor crossroads. Here take the first right, signposted to Moylgrove. Croft Farm reception and some of the cottages are in the first entrance on the right. The second entrance on the right leads to more cottages and the car park.

Fly: The nearest airport is Cardiff.  Cardiff is a 2 hour drive from the cottages. 

Bus and train: Travelling West from Cardiff and London the nearest drop off and station respectively is Carmarthen approx 50 minute drive from Croft.  Continuing to Haverfordwest which is closer will cost you more and take longer.  From the Midlands the nearest station is Aberystwyth approx 1 hour drive from Croft.  Croft Farm is on a regular local bus route, the T5.  This service runs between Haverfordwest and Cardigan.

Ferry from Ireland: Croft Farm is a 40 minute drive from the harbour at Goodwick near Fishguard.
