Shepherd's Rest Cottage at Lund Farm is conveniently placed for the historic city of York, with its beautiful Norman Minster and city walls. There is a park and ride at the Designer Outlet Centre en route from Lund Farm Cottage to York so you don't even need to drive right into the city.
The choice of day-drives from Lund Farm is endless. Visit stately homes such as Castle Howard, ancient castles and ruined abbeys, or just take in the breathtaking scenery from rich lowlands to Herriot's Yorkshire Dales and the lonely North York Moors. Seaside resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington are within 1-2 hours drive. The spa town of Harrogate and the thriving modern city of Leeds are also easily accessible.
Or simply stay on the farm to relax, help us with the sheep perhaps, walk the canal bank adjoining the farm, or we can direct you to local pubs, tea-shops or woodland walks. Selby Golf Course is within walking distance of the farm.
