Farm Stay UK Unveils what’s New for New Year

As the New Year fast approaches, it’s time to start thinking about next year’s holiday and Farm Stay UK have unveiled a host of new options to consider for 2017. From idyllic new spas, coastal cabins, animal-orientated detox packages and a new opening in North Wales, there is something to suit all tastes and budgets. Prices start from £110 per night for a minimum 3 night coastal cabin stay in Cornwall. The highlights are below.

NEW Luxury Cabin by the Sea – Coastal Cabin, Bude, Cornwall
Lower Tresmorn Farm have unveiled a new luxury coastal cabin as part of their collection in Cornwall available from March next year. Perfect for a romantic getaway for two, this secluded retreat is set on the North Cornish coast and boasts panoramic views of the sea and breath taking views of the Cornish countryside. The cedar clad cabin provides the experience of off grid living without sacrificing any luxury. Solar panels provide 12v lighting and the cabin comes equipped with a gas-powered hob, fridge, cooker and a king-size bed with sea views. Guests can enjoy a barbeque on the decking in summer or snuggle up in front of a wood burning stove during winter. There is even the option of cooked breakfasts at the local farmhouse just a short walk away.

Price: 3 night minimum stay from £110 per night based on 2 sharing on a self-catering basis.

Hug a Goat, Kiss a Horse and Detox – Middlewick Cottages, Glastonbury, Somerset
A new addition to the popular Vital Detox retreat hosted at Middlewick Farm Cottages in Glastonbury, is a farm tour where guests are encouraged to interact with the animals as part of a wellness package. The Vital Detox retreat involves 7 days of organic juicing and a controlled raw-food diet, daily yoga, guided countryside walks and a choice of workshops covering subjects from creative writing to health and nutrition. Lose weight, gain energy and kick start a healthy lifestyle whilst joining in on some animal-assisted therapy and go home looking and feeling amazing. Set within 16 acres of paddocks, orchards and gardens, this 16th Century farmstead has a wide choice of luxury self-catering accommodation to choose from, including 10 stone cottages or for those who prefer glamping, a shepherd’s hut and 2 wooden cabins are also available. NEW Idyllic Spa Retreat – Burlton Cottages, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Set in the heart of the North Shropshire countryside sits three newly-converted holiday cottages on a family-run 500 acre private arable farm. As of next June, guests can come and unwind in an onsite spa, equipped with an indoor pool, spa pool, mini gym and sauna and steam room. ‘Wellness Packages’ including facials and massages will also be available, making for the perfect relaxing summer retreat. This characterful property is open all year around and boasts several country walk options right from its doorstep. Latest Addition to Farm Stay UK – Wallington Farm Barns, Worthenbury, Wrexham
Opening in May 2017 is Wallington Farm Barns in North Wales, Farm Stay UK’s latest addition. Just 2 miles away from the picturesque village of Bangor-on-Dee sits 2 newly converted barns on a 250 acre working dairy farm in Wrexham. With electric fires and Victorian style bathrooms complete with claw feet bath tubs, this idyllic retreat comes fully equipped with all new appliances as well as private patios perfect for summer BBQs. Enjoy a quiet walk or gentle cycle rides and for those keen to explore, the farm is ideally situated near the market town of Wrexham and the historic towns of Chester and Shrewsbury. With the sea side just under an hour away there is plenty to keep you busy.
