Wild Rose and Owl Cottage are situated in the Scottish Borders, south of Jedburgh. Edinburgh, Newcastle and Carlisle are only an hours drive away.

Wild Rose is a two bedroom cottage, which sleeps 5 with views over open farmland towards the Cheviots. The cottage has oil fired central heating as well as an open fire for those cooler evenings. On arrival Lucy's home baking with be waiting for you as well as tea, coffee and milk. The cottage has a cosy sitting room, kitchen/breakfast room, boot room, bathroom and two bedrooms. The boot room has a washing machine and tumble drier. The bathroom has a power shower over the bath. The kitchen has just been fully refurbished too.

Owl Cottage has sitting room, kitchen/breakfast room, games room with snooker table, football table and dartboard, washing maching and tunble drier. Also on the ground floor is a shower room. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs with separate shower cubicle.

Matt and Lucy look forward to welcoming you to The Bairnkine. We have been farming here since 1997 and the farm is a predominantly grass with a number of acres planted to woodland.

We have a sheep flock of just under 2000 ewes. We have created walks on the farm including duck, deer and badger walks as well as walks direct to the bird hide by one of the ponds. We encourage visitors to take a walk on the farm to see what is happening and even to catch sight of the wildlife. We see buzzards, deer, garden birds, squirrels, badger tracks amongst other things.
