Moscow Farm, between Great Dalby, Burrough on the Hill and Little Dalby, has miles of footpaths and bridleways on your doorstep. Walking, cycling and sitting! Wildlife and landscape conservation practised for many years, provide perfect holiday setting in Leicestershire.
Visit Belvoir Castle, Burghley House, Rutland Water.
When you stay on the farm - you will drive through the main 'farmyard' on a track which leads to the cottage. Once you are at the cottage, the only traffic you will hear, will be farm traffic. Sitting in the conservatory immediately has a relaxing effect. Open a bottle of wine, or make a cup of tea, and your holiday starts right here. You will find our homemade cookies on your welcome tray.
You will find a wealth of beautiful countryside around you. Your host is a keen local and family historian, and can guide you with local researches. The Leicestershire & Rutland Record office is about half an hour's drive away. The history of the farm and the family is rooted in Great & Little Dalby.
For birdwatchers - On 29th August 2009 a rare 'Mongagu's Harrier' and an Osprey were sighted over the farm.
