Wonderful walks in every direction and a great base for exploring the coastal villages of Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.

Take the A171 from Scarborough to Whitby. In Cloughton (6 miles north of Scarborough), take the right hand turn off the bend, signposted Ravenscar.  Follow this road for 5 miles. Smugglers Rock is at the top of the hill on the left hand side of the bend (opposite the old windmill).
