3/6/ This is our third year at Pickwell Barton Cottage & we have had a fabulous holiday again. The cottage is so lovely with so many extra touches not usually found in self catering rentals. Thank you Jane for the care you lavish on your guest. The scenery in this area is breath taking and with the weather we have had this week, has been idyllic. We had so much fun on the beach, lots of nice outings and our grand children are counting the sleeps until we return next year. Thank you, Jane & Andrew.

24/6/ Biggest, Best, Closest to the sea place we have ever stayed at. 4th time we have stayed in Devon and it’s the best. Will try to come again!

Pickwell Barton Cottage - originally used for carriage drivers, backs onto the stables, (now the games room)!  Sleeps 6 with three bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms. This delightful, spacious cottage with its original oak beams offering lots of old charm and character throughout with its own private courtyard, garden and patio. There is also private access to Putsborough and Woolacombe beach through our fields! 

Upstairs offers three lovely bedrooms, two king, a twin that can be zip & linked for super-king, also the shower room with WC.  The ground floor offers a lovely spacious lounge with wood burner, Smart colour TV.  The family bathroom with shower over bath, wash basin & toilet. There is also a third toilet with hand basin!  The 'heart of the home'  is always the kitchen,and the cottage is no different with its large walk in larder. It has oaked beams, it's light and airy with its 3 windows and a door opening onto the patio and beautiful private lawned garden.

The cottage is situated on our 600 acre sheep, cattle and arable farm, this luxury accommodation is ideally suited for a couple for a romantic getaway or equally the family holiday

We are 1 hour from the M5 J27 in normal driving conditions.

From the M5 (J27) take the A361 to Barnstaple and continue on the A361 to Braunton / Ilfracombe. At the traffic lights in Braunton turn left on to the B3231 for Saunton and Croyde. At Croyde Post Office (five miles) turn right  for Georgeham (one mile) on entering the village turn left at the village hall for Putsborough. Pass by the village school, turn right for Pickwell. Three quarters of a mile on the left will find you at the entrance to Pickwell Barton. (2 hours from Bristol.)
