We have seven beautifully converted self catering holiday cottages and five luxury yurts sleeping between two and ten people located in the immediate area around The Garlic Farm. A tennis court, football pitch and games room are available exclusively for our guests. Our renowned onsite restaurant serves breakfast and lunch everyday. We are ideally located for exploring the Island on foot or bicycle with an excellent local pub just 1 mile away and beaches no more than 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by bicycle.

Denoted as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the farm lies at the hub of the 147 miles of bridle, cycling and
footpaths for which the Isle of Wight is famous. This makes it the ideal location to explore the Island on foot or bicycle. From the passenger ferries in Ryde and Cowes you can reach the farm by bicycle using one of the fantastic cycle routes which utilise the old railway lines. A ten minute walk from the farm onto the Downs will reward you with some of the most exhilarating views of the Island, over the Solent to England and far across the Channel.

A ridge of chalk downs extends across the centre of the Isle of Wight from east to west. Drive over the top of Mersley Down as you approach the village of Newchurch and you will see The Garlic Farm nestling in its sheltered position 300 ft below. Surrounded by unspoilt scenery and ½ a mile from a main road, it is the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday, yet the nearest beach is no more than a 10 minute drive or 25 minute cycle away.

Mersley looks over the valley of Newchurch, and the rolling Island countryside towards Godshill and the south of the Island. The Farm is one mile north of the village of Newchurch with its prominent and interesting 11th Century Church and 18th Century Pub (The Pointer Inn), which serves good food in a traditional pub setting. Shopping areas are not far away as we are 4 miles from the main Island towns of Newport and Ryde.

The Milking Parlour is an attractive barn conversion on one floor with a comfortable and spacious sitting room and kitchen with vaulted ceiling. There is a double ensuite room to one side of the living room and to the other there is a double room and a bunk bedded room with a shared bathroom. Outside is an enclosed garden with plenty of private parking space.

The Milking Parlour also has ramp access to the front door suitable for wheel chair users.

The kitchen-dining room has a gallery with steps down to the separate sitting room below which opens out onto a patio.

The downstairs bedroom has a walk-in large shower in the en-suite bathroom and separate vehicle access to the rear of the property. Upstairs is one double room with en-suite bathroom with a bath. There is also a twin bedded room and a separate bathroom with shower.

The cottage is a private annex with spacious bedroom, bathroom and sitting room with mini kitchen. The bedroom opens out onto a private garden with patio to enjoy the evening sun.
