Hill House Farm has two self-catering properties set within its own grounds in the heart of beautiful Cheshire countryside. Easily accessible for Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales.

The two self-catering properties both offer stunning views of the Cheshire countryside, it makes a perfect base when you stay and explore our county and the city of Chester.

Whether you are interested in cycling, walking, canals, horse riding (we have full stabling and equestrian facilities including a menage) or just touring around, Hill House Farm is a wonderful place to stay. You don’t have to leave your four legged friend behind as we welcome dogs too!

The Country Lodge is a luxurious three bedroomed single story wooden lodge.

Equipped with a large ‘Clearview’ log burner to keep you cosy and a ‘Smart’ 3D television, a DVD player and Superfast Internet to keep you entertained while you stay.

The superior beds are all ‘zip and link’ so can be arranged as either a super king double or two single twin beds.

The Country Lodge has it’s own enclosed garden with views over the rolling farmland next door, and also over looks the adjacent new Dog Exercise Paddock. We have planted 18 trees in one corner of this field and we mow a track around the edge so it is easy to wander around and enjoy the countryside – with or without a four legged friend. There is a separate area at the top end of the field that has a new Children’s Play Area with a new climbing frame, swings and slide. There is also space for kicking a ball around, playing family rounders, cricket or just running around!

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, £20 per booking to include up to two dogs, further dogs may be accepted, please contact us before booking.

Horses are also welcome, we can provide stables for up to two horses at one time, we can take more horses on a turn out only basis.

Stable & Turnout: £18 per night which includes bedding and hay but not hard feed.

Turnout Only: £10 per night

Z-Bed for child under 14 years - supplement charged

Baby & Toddlers - Travel Cots and high chairs are available to borrow at no extra cost

The Chirk Cottage is the original old Cheese Room for the farmhouse and luxuriously converted into a self-contained cottage sleeping two. There is one downstairs room with kitchen, dining table and comfortable chairs and a 'Clearview' Log Burner for those cooler Winter evenings. Upstairs is one large bedroom with a Super-king double or twin Zip & Link bed and ensuite bathroom. The wonderful views of the rolling Cheshire countryside from the bedroom window in my opinion is the icing on the cake.

Chirk Cottage is semi-detached to the main farmhouse and has its own entrance, which leads through the yard to the car parking area at the front of the farmhouse.

The large gardens and paddocks surrounding the farmhouse are shared with guests staying in Chirk Cottage, there are a number of seating areas in the garden and surrounding area including table and chairs on a small patio outside the cottage. If you stroll around our Farm Walk there is a good picnic table down near the brook where you can sit and while away the hours, enjoying the peace and tranquility of the countryside.
