Why not escape to the country with family and friends!! You will find Lovesome Hill Working Farm in an ideal location for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and Dales and its spectacular coastline. Home-made oat biscuits are ready for when you arrive at our home, soak in the delights of staying in the peaceful countryside overlooking the Hambleton Hills. The four Granary rooms have their own separate entrance which adjoins the hub of the farmhouse.
Mary prepares her hearty award winning breakfasts, including 2020 Gold Award marmalade , savour tasty food fresh from the farm nurtured by Farmer John. Apple juice fresh from the orchard not to be missed!!

Mary and John are at hand to make your stay as comfortable as possible and pass on any recommendations required.Relax in the garden and treat our home as yours If your a weary walker on the coast to coast from Richmond or visiting our area on North Yorkshire. We would love to greet you.

Perhaps John might let you have a peek at the newborn calves before they venture out into the fields  where they will bond with their mothers. Amble back from your day out and rewind in comfy beamed bedrooms with home-made toiliteries called oomilegs! John is happy to chat about the farm and answer your questions.

Well situated and easy to find travelling off the motorways leading North and South.We are only 4 miles from Northallerton which has direct rail from London-York and Durham- Edinburgh as an alternative to car travel.Very close to Wainwrights coast to coast walk, so Mary is at hand to make you comfortable.Leave with a spring in your step.

Northallerton is the county town of North Yorkshire ,with its regular markets on a Wednesday and Saturday where you will discover tasty foodie stalls offering fresh vegetables and fruit,Carricks fish ,cheeses,bakeries and lots of lovely stalls to take away something special from your stay. It is set in the historical high street lined by still some family owned stores, Barkers,Lewis and Coopers,Grovers, Joe Cornish Galler and other innovative shops and eateries.

Being available to everyone but with its Category 1 disability listing and very easy access to our car park this room is particularly suitable for those who are less mobile.

The spacious bathroom with doors wide enough for wheelchair access is equipped with a large shower with rails. There are also rails next to the toilet and the sink.

From The North:
Leave A1 at junction 59
Follow A167 through Darlington
At roundabout with A66 at far end of Darlington - take A167 South, signposted Northallerton
After approx. 9 miles, go through village of Great Smeaton
Keep on A167 towards Northallerton
After three miles you will pass a caravan park on the right
Continue towards Northallerton and Lovesome Hill Farm is approx. a further 1/2 mile on the left hand side.

From Scotch Corner:
Junction of A66 and A1, travel south of the A1 for approx. 1 1/2 miles
Leave the A1 at the first exit signposted "Catterick in 1 mile"
Approach traffic lights , take the first left signposted B1263
Follow the B1263 through the village of Scorton around village green (cricket pitch in middle) and keep on B1263 for approx. 8 miles
You will come to a T-junction of A167 - follow signs for Northallerton on A167 through the village of Great Smeaton
After three miles you will pass a caravan park on your right
Keep on A167 towards Northallerton
Lovesome Hill Farm is approx. 1/2 mile on your left hand side.

From The South:
Leave A1 at junction 49, signposted "A168 Teesside"
Follow A168, after approx 6 miles, the A168 becomes the A19
Around the Thirsk bypass, take the first exit of the A19 signposted "A68 Northallerton"
Follow the A168 into Northallerton
Take the A167 north to Darlington
After 3 miles you will see a new garage on the left, and a junction for Brompton on the right - continue up the A167
Lovesome Hill Farm is approx. 300 hundred yards on the right.
