Greenhill Glamping is set on our family farm in the beautiful location of the Alkham Valley within the Kent Downs near to Dover in an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".

'Shepherd's Watch' is over 120 years old and has been lovingly restored by ourselves offering you a cosy hideaway oozing with charm and character. Shepherd’s Watch sits in its own private grass meadow with stunning views across our farm and the Kent Downs. It’s very spacious inside and has been furnished with bespoke features to a very high standard. You have all the comforts you can’t live without as well as added luxuries such as a king-size bed and Nespresso coffee machine. The hut has been insulated with sheeps wool and has a wood-burner with a plentiful supply of logs to keep you warm and cosy. We want your stay in our shepherd’s hut to be as relaxing as possible and there are lots of little extra touches to give a real feeling of luxury.

'Ploughman's Retreat' is an original ploughman’s wagon over 100 years old, which has been recently restored by ourselves. It is nestled into the hillside, surrounded by picturesque and stunning views of our farm within the Alkham Valley. Our own special restoration ensures Ploughman's Retreat has an abundance of vintage charm and character. Inside the hut comes with all the comforts you can’t live without including a cosy king-size bed and ensuite shower and toilet. 

A hand-crafted seat nestled into the bank outside making the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the colourful sunsets.

Our shepherd’s hut is situated in its own grass meadow with stunning views across our farm and the Kent Downs.

We want your stay in our shepherd’s hut to be as relaxing as possible with lots of little extra touches to give a real feeling of luxury.

Our shepherd’s hut is not any ordinary glamping site. We have sympathetically restored the hut re-using as many of the original materials as possible whilst also bringing it up to the 21st century.

This has included insulating the walls with sheep’s wool, stylishly decorating using Farrow and Ball paints, luxury additions including a home-from-home en-suite shower, heated towel rail and also a handmade luxury king size bed with goose down duvet and pillows.

Our Ploughman's Retreat has been lovingly restored by ourselves to offer a luxury glamping experience and is our newest edition to Greenhill Glamping.

The hut is an original ploughman's wagon oozing individual character.  The hut has vintage and antique furnishings with a luxury ensuite shower and toilet.  The kingsize bed has a handmade quality mattress and quality bedding.

A wood burning stove keeps you warm and cosy with an electric heater ensuring your never be cold at any time of the year.

The kitchen has an electric hob for cooking light meals along with a toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine.  There's a fridge and fresh milk is provided on your arrival with tea, coffee and homemade cake!  All cooking utensils, plates, cutlery, glasses are all provided in the hut.

Outside there are table and chairs and a fire-pit with a grill for barbequing.  Free logs are provided in the woodstore next to the hut.

Car arrival: M20 towards Dover, past Junction 13 as you leave the hill tunnel, immediately turn left (Canterbury / Folkestone A260). Left at roundabout and back over motorway. Immediately turn left. After 100 metres at next roundabout follows signs for Alkham. In approximately 1.8 miles turn right into Meggett Lane.  Continue up Meggett Lane past Greenhill Farm entrance, Ploughman's Retreat is on the right and access through gateway to parking area by the side of the hut.  Shepherd's Watch, continue up the hill on the right and access through gate to parking area. Postcode: CT15 7DG
