With views across open farmland dotted with sheep, geese and alpaca, The Deckhouse is a timber cabin open all year round. It's quirky, often describe it as half self-catering cottage/ half glamping. It's on the other side of the farm from the safari tents so ideal if you are looking for a quieter option as it's not overlooked.
The Deckhouse Cabin works well for couples or family glamping. There's a king bed in the main bedroom and a mini bunk room at the other end of the cabin, the bunk room is small and suitable for children under 12 years of age (not adults). Bedlinen and towels are provided.
The cabin kitchen is well equipped with mini-oven/hob, microwave, retro style under-counter fridge-freezer and table with Ercol chairs. The open plan sitting room has a comfy sofa, wall mounted television, books & games, colourful pictures and knick-knacks. The modern shower room runs off the open plan space and has towels, loo paper and soap etc provided. The cabin is heated by a wood fired stove, it's well insulated and perfectly warm all year round. Firewood, kindling and firelighters are provided.
The cabin has a private fenced garden with a wood fired hot tub (optional extra), firepit/barbecue area, washing line, picnic table and hammock. There are friendly farm animals very close by and free ranging chickens may wander into the cabin garden where there are apple trees.
Middle Stone Farm is a working farm, we offer farm tours for any interested guests.
Couple discounts available outside of the school holidays.
The cabin isn't dog friendly, and doesn't have WiFi, we do however have a decent 4G phone signal around the farm. Our holiday cottage nearby does have WiFi.
