Exmoor Holiday Accommodation

Exmoor, one of Britain's famous National Parks, spanning both North Devon and Somerset, is a popular destination for hikers, climbers, horse riders, cyclists, anglers, canoeists and picnickers. Regardless of your leisure interests - whether you want to be active or just enjoy the open space - Farm Stay holiday cottages and B&B's provide a welcome respite at the end of a long day!

Exmoor is considered by many to be the most remote area in England. Animals roaming the heather moorland include red deer, sheep, cattle and the infamous Exmoor ponies...

exmoor ponies From prehistoric standing stones and Roman fortifications to pony-trekking and painting, Exmoor is a fascinating area to explore on holiday.
For walkers there are over 600 miles of footpaths so you really are spoilt for choice!

The Exmoor part of the "South West Coast Path" runs from Minehead -Combe Martin, and  comprises of both high moorland meeting the sea, and also "combes"  - deep and steep valleys, often wooded..  Or imagine yourself walking back in history by exploring the country of Lorna Doone.

Dunster Castle is well worth a visit in a picturesque setting with wonderful views set in lovely gardens.

The "21 Mile Drive" is a scenic figure of eight drive around the beautiful 'Little Switzerland' area of Exmoor National Park. The route takes in Lynton & Lynmouth, the Heddon and Brendon Valleys, Woody Bay, Valley Of Rocks and Watersmeet.

A breathtakingly dramatic drive along cliff edges with lots of viewing points and through deep valleys, with some lovely walks and stunning vistas to enjoy along the way.
