Many of NORTH YORKSHIRE'S Towns and Villages are steeped in history and although time has not stood still here there is great pride in our heritage and many traditions are still enjoyed, like the markets held in many small towns on various days of the week. In fact you could visit a different one every day.
The towns come to life with noise and colour and banter from the stallholders and public alike. Many towns have great film and literary connections.
