Short Breaks Sussex

A weekend break can be the perfect way to catch up with friends, have a romantic weekend with a loved one or spend quality time with your children, whatever your reason for wanting a weekend away a Farm Stay holiday cottage or B&B is the perfect place to stay. Our properties are often located on real working farms, giving you a taste of the countryside but with all the comfort and quality you would expect. We also offer discounts for those holidaying during term time, meaning you can enjoy Sussex and escape it all for even less.

The city of Brighton is a fantastic vibrant place to visit, with a bar for every day of the year and a beautiful beach front as well as an abundance of shopping and art galleries, especially in ‘the lanes’. Whilst in Brighton the Royal Pavilion is a must-see, famous for its Indo-Saracenic architecture the Pavilion is a huge eighteenth century building and a former favourite of Queen Victoria.

Chichester- the county town of West Sussex- is another great place to visit. Just like Brighton Chichester is full of cafes, shops and galleries whilst also possessing a beautiful architectural heritage. Chichester Cathedral and Chichester Cross are both long standing features of Chichester, with the Cathedral almost 1000 years old; whilst The Novium Museum and the South Downs Planetarium and Science Centre represent the modern side of Chichester and West Sussex.

Outside of Sussex’s urban centres is a beautiful county full of long walks and magnificent scenery, with Beachy Head and the Kingley Vale Nature Reserve the two standout picks for a day spent outdoors. Beachy Head, located near Eastbourne, is the UKs highest chalk sea cliff and offers stunning views over the English Channel and surrounding countryside. Kingley Head, comprising part of the extensive South Downs, has some of the finest Yew Trees in Western Europe, including a grove which contains some of the oldest living things in the UK- trees at least 500 years old.

As you can see Sussex makes for a brilliant weekend away or short break, whether you like the vibrancy of the city or the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. Staying in a Farm Stay property is the perfect complement to all the sights of Sussex, you can be assured of comfort and quality and you will have the perfect base from which you can go out and explore.
