Cornish Breakfasts Raise Thousands

Two Cornish Farm Stay members recently opened their doors to raise thousands for local charities.  The Farmhouse breakfast's were both held on Saturday 23rd January, 2018.

Robert & Jean Henly of Bucklawren Farm on the outskirts of the pretty little fishing town of Looe have been running their event for many years.  Together with a band of helpers, many of which are Farm Stay members, they cooked and served 190 Breakfast's using as far as possible, local produce.  The event raised £2400 which will be split between the selected charities - Shelterbox; St Martins Church, Looe and Childrens Hospice South West.

Further down into Cornwall, Andy and Hannah Elford of Degembris Farm, Newlyn East, Near Newquay also had a busy day and cooked up 180 breakfasts.  They raised £2300 which will be donated to their chosen charities which are Cancer Research UK and Childrens Clinic for Cornwall.

A great achievement with a fantastic amount of money raised!
