Giltspur Cottage, formerly the old hayloft, has been beautifully converted into our largest cottage, comfortably accommodating up to 7 guests and a cot. This spacious retreat is perfect for extended families or large groups, providing ample room for relaxation both indoors and outdoors.

The cottage exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, with evening sunlight bathing the entire space in a golden glow. Night storage heaters keep the space cozy, while fan heaters in the bathrooms provide additional comfort.

Step into Giltspur from the picturesque south-facing courtyard and discover a cozy lounge and dining area to the left, featuring an electric stove, full HD smart TV, and double west-facing French doors that open onto a private patio. Soak in the breathtaking views of the gardens, children's play area, and rolling countryside while enjoying the warm evening sun.

To the right of the entrance, you'll find a newly refurbished kitchen equipped with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and washer/dryer.

Upstairs, you'll find three inviting bedrooms – one king-size en-suite, one twin, and one generously-sized room with three single beds – alongside a family bathroom. Both bathrooms feature a shower over the bath, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.

Cloth Fair Cottage was originally a herring bone milking parlour and is now a comfortable and well equipped holiday home where disabled or able bodied visitors can retreat to an oasis of peace.

The accommodation is all on one level with ramp access. Entrance to the cottage is directly into the very pretty open plan lounge, dining and kitchen. The open beamed ceiling gives the feeling of space enhanced by the windows facing south, east and west. An electric stove adds to the charm of this comfortable room.

The kitchen is fully fitted with eletric oven & hob, dishwasher & fridge with freezer box.
The charmingly co-ordinated spacious bedroom has twin beds or a fully made up super-king bed with orthopedic mattresses, and leads to a large bathroom with separate bath and shower.

Cloth Fair cottage is heated by oil fired central heating, cooking is by electricity. It has its own large private patio, with beautiful, panoramic open views across the fields and hills. The cottage faces west and so catches the sun most of the day and in the evening has the most spectacular sunsets.

car arrival: From PICKERING From the Steam Railway Station Rawcliffe House farm is 6 miles North up the Road. Go past the railway station, past a trout farm and over a level crossing. Continue up the hill and follow the road into the village of Newton-upon-Rawcliffe (after 4 miles). Go through the village and carry on the road. You will come to a steep wooded bank; drive down the road, as soon as you come out of the trees you will see Rawcliffe House Farm, continue for ½ mile it is the 1st entrance on the left.
