CHECK IN ~ CHILL OUT

After a day exploring the area return to this beautifully restored 17thC cottage. If it’s cold outside, simply turn on the wood burning gas stove in the inglenook fireplace and relax on the comfy sofas or the easy chair to watch the 40’’ Freeview TV/DVD or play games in this tastefully decorated lounge amid a selection of Welsh Antique furniture.

From this roomy lounge, French doors then lead you through to the spacious kitchen diner where you will find an electric oven, hob and microwave, an American style fridge/freezer with ice maker, an integrated washer/dryer and dishwasher and all the equipment you need to cook up a feast. Then gather round the large dining table in the centre of this farmhouse style kitchen/diner to chat about the day’s events and plan the next day’s adventure. Or if it’s sunny outside, why not open the French doors which lead you from this kitchen/diner onto the patio to dine al-fresco or use the BBQ, then soak up the evening sunshine relaxing in the luxury all-weather rattan garden furniture which includes 2 sun loungers and enjoy the magnificent views of the Snowdonia Mountain Range. There is also a convenient downstairs loo/cloakroom.

Following a lovely evening unwinding what you then need is a good night’s sleep in one of the truly romantic bedrooms. There is a spacious double room that has a king size bed, antique pine furniture a TV and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, toilet and basin. Opposite the landing you will find the twin room with comfortable 3ft beds with white and pine furniture and an en-suite with a shower, toilet and basin. Both rooms have been very tastefully furnished and include lots of lovely little touches. Both rooms are decorated to a high standard using co-ordinated soothing colours to create a relaxing, calming ambience.

Walkers & cyclists are welcome, and lockable storage is available for mountain bikes.

SIABOD COTTAGE: This converted cottage is traditional in style and was originally a shippon.

Siabod Cottage has a well equipped oak kitchen/dining room and a lounge. There are two bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. The double room has a kingsize bed and roll top bath and tv, while the twin bedroom has a shower.

The cottage is centrally heated, double glazed, and there is a gas fire to keep you warm on those chilly winter evenings! From the spacious kitchen/dining area there are French doors opening onto patio area with garden furniture and magnificent views overlooking the Snowdonia Mountain range. The patio is great for al-fresco dining while enjoying the views of the mountains.

TRYFAN COTTAGE: This converted cottage is contemporary in style and is on one level.

Tryfan Cottage has a well equipped kitchen/dining room and a lounge. There are two bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. The double room has a kingsize bed and Jacuzzi bath and tv, while the twin bedroom has a shower.

This cottage is centrally heated, double glazed, and there is a wall mounted gas fire in the living room. From the spacious kitchen/dining area there are French doors opening onto patio area with garden furniture and magnificent views overlooking the Snowdonia Mountain range. The patio is great for al-fresco dining while enjoying looking at the cattle and sheep in season.

THE OLD COACH HOUSE COTTAGE: This is a 17th Century oak-beamed cottage with many original features, full of character and atmosphere.

This cottage has just been lovingly restored with a new Country Cream kitchen/diner. The lounge is upstairs to take advantage of the views. 

The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath.

There is one twin bedroom (with 2'6" beds) and one double bedroom with kingsize bed - all of which are beautifully decorated and maintained.

This comfortable cottage is centrally heated, double glazed, and there is a woodburning stove effect gas fire.

The cottage benefits from 2 patios, one for the morning sun overlooking the ducks and chickens and the other for al-fresco dining watching the evening sun going down over the mountains. 

Betws-y-Coed lies within the Conwy Valley at the confluence of the Conwy and Llugwy rivers. It is known as Wales' most famous inland resort and boasts high quality shops to cater for all tastes.

At the market town of Llanrwst you can marvel at the architecture of the bridge over the Conwy river and then enjoy unrivalled cream teas in the unusual setting of the 16thC courthouse, now called Tu Hwnt i'r Bont. The area is famous for its waterfalls including the spectacular Swallow Falls.

Staying in the Conwy Valley offers plenty of opportunities for those who enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds. For those who enjoy walking there are walks of all grades of difficulty ranging from mighty Snowdon which has it's own mountain railway to the more leisurely walks in the nearby Gwydir Forest......

We provide lockable cycle storage for guests.

Tree Top Adventure is just a couple of miles away and features aerial ropeways for those seeking thrills. Other adventure attractions include Zip World, Surf Snowdonia, and Go Below. The Plas-y-Brenin National Mountain Centre at Capel Curig offers a range of courses and taster sessions during the summer months including climbing and canoeing. There are bowling facilities, a leisure centre and swimming pool at Llanrwst, a golf course at Betws-y-Coed and a pony trekking centre at Penmachno.

The National Trust own many attractions in the area - from Ty Mawr Wybrnant which is the birthplace of William Morgan (1545-1604) the first translator of the whole bible into Welsh, to the world famous Bodnant Garden.

There are many popular attractions to visit such as the Italianate village at Portmeirion built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in 1925 and the Welsh Mountain Zoo. The area is famous for its steam railways including the Ffestiniog Railway, Snowdon Mountain Railway and Welsh Highland Railway.

Be sure to take time to explore Conwy where you can explore the Medieval walls surrounding the castle built by Edward I with its beautiful harbour. There are also castles at Dolwyddelan, Caernarfon and Beaumaris to name a few.

The fine sandy beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula and Anglesey and the traditional Victorian resort of Llandudno are also within easy reach.

Betws-y-Coed has many quality shops to explore and is well known for its outdoor shops including well known names such as Cotswold, Stewart Cunningham, Gelert and Hawkshead. There are food shops in Betws-y-Coed, and a supermarket and butchers in the nearby market town of Llanrwst.

At J19 A55 take A470 signposted Betws-y-Coed.
Continue on A470 into town of Llanrwst, continue through and out of the town towards Betws-y-Coed. After Llanrwst drive for 2 miles then take left turning signposted ‘Capel Garmon 2.5 miles / Nebo 4.75 miles’. Continue on this unclassified road, after 2 miles take 1st drive on right after the 30 mph signposted Llannerch Goch Cottages.

From the South East (A5):
From Corwen, continue on A5 for 18.5 miles then take right turning, signposted ‘Capel Garmon’ (on your way you will pass village of Cerrigydrudion on your right and drive through village of Pentrefoelas). After 1.5miles you will have reached the village of Capel Garmon, pass the pub The White Horse and the school on your right then we are the 1st drive on your left signposted Llannerch Goch Cottages.

From South Wales (A470):
At A470 / A5 junction at Betws-y-Coed turn left, in approx 30m turn right onto A470 signpost Llanrwst in approx 50m take the Capel Garmon turning on right, follow this narrow road for 1.5 miles until you reach the T junction, turn right. After 30 mph sign, 1st drive on right signposted Llannerch Goch Cottages (If you don’t like the narrow roads:- On the A470 continue on this road for a mile, take the right turn signposted Capel Garmon 2.5 miles/Nebo 4.75 miles. Continue on this unclassified road, after 2 miles take the 1st drive on right after the 30 mph sign signposted Llannerch Goch Cottages.)
