Tredethick Farm Cottages is a real jewel in Cornwall’s crown. Oodles of quality entertainment for the children to enjoy, set on an idyllic working farm, with no shortage of touches to ensure mums and dads have a relaxing holiday too.

Tredethick Farm Cottages specialises in providing self-catering holidays for families with young children. Eight stylish stone farm cottages set in 80 acres of private farm and woodlands. On-site facilities include an indoor swimming pool, mini-tractor track, woodland playscape, soft play, play park and play barn, as well as animal feeding and pony rides. For grown ups there’s a secluded hot tub garden along with numerous other parent friendly touches.

The stylish cottages are light and airy yet cosy in appearance, and equipped with all modern conveniences and child-friendly kit to suit the needs of visiting families. Many of the cottages have wood burners to snuggle around during the winter months, with tasteful private garden spaces to enjoy during sunnier times of the year.

Situated in the heart of south Cornwall near the small historic town of Lostwithiel, Tredethick Farm Cottages are exceptionally placed to offer access to the county’s numerous tourist attractions. Within a short drive of the cottages you’ll find beautiful riverside towns and villages, castles, the Camel cycle trail and steam railways – endless child friendly entertainment for the days when you fancy exploring (though you might never need leave the farm!). One of Cornwall’s most famous visitor attractions, the Eden Project, is just a twenty minute drive away, as are a number of beautiful beaches.

Tredethick draws families back year after year. Designed for families, no matter the weather, guest ages or personalities, indoors or out, there's always plenty to keep everyone happy and occupied. From animals to feed, ponies to ride, places to play, a warm indoor pool to discover, new places and new friends to see and make, all in beautiful, secluded, Cornish countryside. It is place to relax and enjoy time together.

All eight country/contemporary-style cottages are within a minute’s walk of the family-friendly indoor pool, soft play (with newspapers, magazines and Lavazza coffee for the grown ups), play park and games room with huge sandpit, table tennis and pool table. Little ones can use mini-tractors, scooters or balance bikes to scoot around the farm. There’s a luxurious hot tub garden for parents seeking peace and an idyllic farm trail threading through woodland and fields to the Fowey river estuary.

For little ones, animal feeding and pony rides are usually the highlight of the holiday. Lifelong memories are made with lambs to bottle feed in the Spring months, ponies to ride, fresh eggs to collect, goats to stroke and pigs and chickens to feed. Our eight beautiful, high-end cottages are designed and equipped to be as baby and toddler friendly as possible and we can provide you with plenty of extra kit to save you having to lug it with you.

Six of our eight family cottages don’t have stairs and where there are stairs we have stairgates. We can also provide you with plenty of baby and toddler-friendly equipment to make your stay as stress-free as possible including high-quality wooden cots, bed guards, black-out blinds, highchairs, child-friendly crockery, booster seats, frozen toddler-friendly meals in farm shop, microwave bottle sterilisers, step-ups in bathrooms and night lights. Lift the latch on any front door and you'll find a wonderfully inviting space. Squashy sofas, comfortable beds, a seperate shower and relaxing bathtub. There are fluffy white bathrobes – great for impromptu trips to the hot tub, and free WiFi.

Many of the cottages have wood burners, and all are centrally heated, so families can be nice and toasty when arriving home from a walk or a dip in the pool. For those who don't feel like cooking, and who does on their holidays, there's a brilliant 24hr farm shop, which runs on an honesty-box system, and is stocked with yummy treats such as organic Cornish ice cream, ice lollies, apple juice, jams and honey, as well as COOK frozen ready meals.
