Escape to The Cottage on the Hill: our newly renovated 1950s bungalow for four. This delightful bungalow was built back in 1958, providing the perfect base for a family staycation in the Yorkshire Dales.
Our elegant and stylishly renovated bungalow is sunny and comfortable, boasting local furniture, deep sofas, quiet corners for reading, a large family-sized kitchen diner, and cosy bedrooms filled with antique furniture. Discover a sunny kitchen diner with traditional Rayburn range and large French windows leading out onto the patio, a large sitting room with open fire, 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) and 2 bedrooms.
Cottage on the Hill has a Wood fired Hot Tub in the private courtyard that catches the afternoon and evening sum.
With expansive views from every window, you can look out over the farm and the Pennines in the distance. Enjoy sitting out in your very own large open garden and sun terrace, boasting a rustic fire pit, BBQ, and picnic table – ideal for a spot of alfresco cooking and dining.

Whisk your family away to The Cottage on the Hill for a fun-filled staycation in the Yorkshire Dales. Our delightful bungalow is airy and light, with plenty of space for a family of four (plus a baby or small child). One or two dogs are also welcome at an additional cost.
We are ideally situated to explore the beautiful Westmorland Dales: a hidden gem in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Step out your door and follow one of the many footpaths and cycling trails that take you up the fells, over the hills and through sleepy villages. Hike along the famous Coast to Coast footpath, The Westmorland Way, or Lady Anne’s Way. This area of Cumbria is a wonderful biking country, boasting both challenging and relaxing trails around our quiet country roads.
At the end of a long day exploring the sights and sounds of the Westmorland Dales, venture to our community village pub and sip on a delicious pint (or two!), before grabbing one of our homemade woodfired pizzas from our pop-up pizza café and dining alfresco in the large courtyard. We are situated in a designated Dark Skies area, providing ample opportunities for a spot of stargazing. Enjoy watching the sun go down and gazing in awe as the stars twinkle above you from the comfort of your private garden!
