Escape to The Brew House: our quirky self-catering cottage for two. This cosy bolthole was once a village brew house, making for the most perfect romantic retreat in the heart of Maulds Meaburn.
This traditional Brew House has been converted into a unique self-catering cottage for two, combining both modern and traditional influences within its stylish structure and furnishings. The cottage is situated just a few minutes away from Crake Trees Manor in the centre of Maulds Meaburn, perched next to the village green and river.
The Brew House boasts its own wooden stove and lovely handmade furnishings.
The Brew House has a private courtyard and wood-fired hot tub (a initial supply of fuel provided). Cook up a delicious dinner in the fully equipped kitchen or dine alfresco in the enclosed courtyard, before soaking in the hot tub and enjoying a spot of stargazing.

Whisk your loved one away to The Brew House and let the sparks fly. Enjoy scenic views over the village green from the king-sized bedroom or spacious conservatory, as you watch the sheep graze peacefully in the surrounding fields. Right on your doorstep is the village green and a picturesque river – fancy a paddle?!
We are ideally situated to explore the beautiful Westmorland Dales: a hidden gem in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Step out your door and follow one of the many footpaths and cycling trails that take you up the fells, over the hills and through sleepy villages. Hike along the famous Coast to Coast footpath, The Westmorland Way, or Lady Anne’s Way. This area of Cumbria is a wonderful biking country, boasting both challenging and relaxing trails around our quiet country roads.
At the end of a long day exploring the sights and sounds of the Westmorland Dales, venture to our community village pub and sip on a delicious pint (or two!), before grabbing one of our homemade woodfired pizzas from our pop-up pizza café and dining alfresco in the large courtyard. We are situated in a designated Dark Skies area, providing ample opportunities for a spot of stargazing. Enjoy watching the sun go down and gazing in awe as the stars twinkle above you from the comfort of your very own wood fired hot tub!
