Four welcoming barn conversions, each with a private hot tub, located just 3 miles from the South Wales coast and the seaside town of Porthcawl.

Guests are warmly welcomed to our lovely self catering holiday cottages at Ty Tanglwyst Farm. You will experience life on a working family dairy farm with tractors, cows and horses passing by. You will also have the opportunity to see the milking and feed the baby calves.

The cottages can accommodate from the single traveller to eight guests plus sofa bed. Group bookings are also welcome. The characterful cottages are comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Ideally located just 3 miles from the South Wales Heritage coast and less than  an hour from the Brecon Beacons, Ty Tanglwyst Farm Cottages are the perfect base for exploring all that this wonderful  area has to offer. Situated mid way between Cardiff and Swansea, guests can enjoy visiting castles, country parks,nature reserves, beautiful beaches, country  villages  etc. There are several excellent golf courses in the area, a local surf school at Porthcawl,  opportunities for walking, cycling and  a wide variety of other activities. There are plenty of coffee shops and restuarants within a short dirve.

Relaxing in your cosy cottage hot tub and enjoying the log fire is the perfect way to end the day.

The Coach House is a spacious barn conversion which can comfortably accommodate 8 people(+ sofa bed + cot.)

Similar in style to The Granary Cottage, it has whitewashed walls, solid wood and flagstone flooring with under floor heating, and exposed beams. The ground floor double bedroom has an en suite  wet room and is suitable for guests with mobility issues. See full access statement on our web site.

Standing in its own grounds with ample parking space, the cottage has a pleasant patio, secure garden and barbecue area with a private hot tub.  There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, extra fridge and freezer. Secure storage is available here for golf clubs or bikes.

Enjoy a break in this beautiful character accommodation, furnished and equipped to a high standard. The Granary is a spacious detatched barn of historical interest sleeping up to 6 people plus sofa bed. The soothing sound of a water fountain feature greets you as you enter.

Guests will find a double bedroom en suite on the  ground floor. Upstairs is another double bedroom, twin bedroom and second small bathroom. At the other end of the cottage, stone granary steps lead directly into an additional secluded seating area with sofa bed.

The Granary  has a traditional flagstone floor, white washed walls and exposed beams throughout, with full central heating and a blazing wood burning fire. The cottage is open plan with an extending dining table which can seat 8. 

Outside the cottage you will find a patio and garden area with inbuilt barbecue and large bubbling hot tub. There is ample parking space nearby.

Ivy Cottage sleeps up to 5 people; ideally 2 adults & 3 children.   Its rustic character has been maintained with white limewashed walls, flagstone floors with rugs, and exposed beams throughout. As well as central heating there is a wood burning stove and a basket of logs supplied. Ivy Cottage visitors can enjoy exclusive use of a 3 seater hot tub located in a sheltered corner of the patio.

This comfortable, cosy, well equipped open plan cottage has everything you could need.   The  dining table can seat up to 5 people.

The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave oven.

A passageway leads to a double bedroom and  small twin bedroom with two single beds slightly narrower than stanadard. Nearby is  the  ground floor bathroom with shower over the bath./ The  bathroom has a high ceiling, open to the exposed beams.

Open a latched door in the passageway and you will find a wooden alternate tread stairway leading to a small attic mezzanine / gallery with single bed. From here children  can peep through the spindles to the twin bedroom below.

So named because before conversion it was a stable and home to families of swallows who returned year after year for the summer months.

Similar in character to Ivy Cottage with whitewashed walls, flagstone floors and exposed beams, Swallow Cottage can sleep 3 plus pull-out bed.

The main double bedroom is on the ground floor  and next to this is a modern compact shower room.  A steep alternate tread stairs (unsuitable for very young children or guests with mobility issues)  leads from the hallway to an attic bedroom with sloping ceilings. Here  you will find a single bed and pull out bed underneath.

The welcoming open plan living room has a modern well equipped kitchen, dining table seating 4 and two comfortable sofas. A free basket of logs is supplied for the wood buring fire.

Just outside the door on the patio area is a bubbling hot tub solely for use of Swallow Cottage guests.

Ty Tanglwyst Farm Cottages are located just a few minutes drive from Junction 37 of the M4 and with easy access to the A48. 

The nearest train station  is at Pyle, just 3 miles away . The nearest mainline station with trains arriving directly from London is at Bridgend - just 6 miles away.

Cardiff Wales airport is 50 minutes away. 

There are plenty of taxis in the area as well as car hire  and a local bus service.
