Ffos y Ffin stands as a traditional Welsh cottage, commanding views over expansive moorland, nestled in the heart of mid Wales, approximately 9 miles north of Llandrindod Wells. The dwelling provides a blend of rustic charm and comfortable lodgings, accommodating up to 6 guests – comprising 2 doubles and a petite twin room, more suitable for children. Guests sharing these quarters have access to a family bathroom and a convenient downstairs shower room. Additionally, a third single bedroom, typically employed for storage, can be arranged for use upon request.
The abode boasts a fully equipped Kitchen/Dining Room/Snug adorned with a wood-burning fire, offering a cozy atmosphere. A separate lounge area with sofas, armchairs, and a TV provides an alternative space for relaxation. While the broadband may not be the swiftest, it suffices for devices like the Fire TV stick.
The one-acre wild garden, mostly secure for dogs, poses minimal escape opportunities for small canines under the gate. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed, with a caution about farm livestock grazing in nearby fields.
The locale is a sun trap, especially in fair weather, and offers delightful walks in the vicinity. A family-operated pub is conveniently located a mile away.
Prospective guests are advised that this retreat is not suitable for those uneasy around sheep, cows, or adverse to a bit of dirt on their vehicle. However, if you seek a tranquil, warm, and snug escape, Ffos y Ffin is an ideal destination.
