Stay in our three holiday cottages on the Cadhay Estate in Ottery St Mary, East Devon overlooking the main Tudor manor house, in the peace and tranquility of the countryside.

All our holiday cottages exude history and luxury. They are light and spacious plus we’ve managed to retain many of their period features such as the exposed wooden beams, stable doors and saddle racks. They are well furnished with some excellent antiques, interesting paintings, bright rugs and quality curtains. The Coach house sleeps 6 in 3 en-suite rooms, the Stables sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with one en-suite room and one family bathroom and the Cider Press is a cosy cottage for two, all on one level with stunning views across the countryside. All have access to our glorious walled garden to marvel at the plants, relax or for children to play in.

Cadhay cottages are set within beautiful East Devon countryside and farmland where we have large flocks of sheep and lambs.

The Coach House comfortably sleeps 6 in luxury within 1 twin room, 1 double room and 1 room which can be a super king double or a twin room. The cottage is open plan so particularly spacious. All 3 bedrooms are en-suite, there is a downstairs cloakroom plus the cottage has a large yard next to it. If you’re a family, group or couples looking to stay together for a short self catering break, then the Coach House is perfect. The ground floor is spacious with a well equipped kitchen / dining room and large lounge which has an extremely homely woodburner as the centerpiece. In the winter you can sit back and relax on our comfortable sofas with the wood burner roaring in the background. There are floor-to-ceiling windows with double French doors providing views and access to a front lawn.

The Stables overlooks Cadhay House with the kitchen door opening directly into the walled garden which has been converted into allotments for some of the local community. There are three bedrooms; one twin room, the other two rooms (one en-suite) can be super-king doubles or twin bedrooms which together comfortably sleep up to 6. There is an additional family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. The ground floor is spacious with a well equipped kitchen / dining room which has an extremely homely woodburner as the centrepiece plus an intimate TV lounge/study. In the winter you can sit back and relax on our comfortable chairs with the wood burner roaring in the background. There’s large French windows that offer views of Cadhay.

The Cider Press is the smallest of the three cottages we have available at Cadhay for 2 guests. It is a single-storey building standing on its own which has been converted into a very comfortable cottage with either a double or twin bedroom. It is spacious, filled with light and has a panoramic outlook to East Hill and the surrounding countryside.

It may be our smallest holiday cottage, but you’ll not be short of room inside. There’s a spacious lounge with a wood burner at its heart, great for relaxing in front of after a long day exploring.

You will find all of the equipment you would expect from a modern and luxurious holiday cottage, including a well proportioned kitchen / diner. The Cider Press is ideal for couples wanting a relaxing break in quiet and peaceful surroundings.

We created the Cider Press with couples in mind, it’s a great base for the two of you to spend a short break exploring East Devon. There’s a mixture of old world charm and modern creature comforts with plenty of light throughout. The lounge has French doors which open onto your own patio area, with views across East Hill and surrounding countryside, whilst the bedroom has floor to ceiling glazed patio doors.

If you’re looking for a relaxing self-catering break in the beautiful East Devon countryside then all 3 cottages are ideal for you, your friends or family.

The Coach House is the largest of our three holiday cottages on the Cadhay Estate in the beautiful countryside around Ottery St Mary, East Devon. The Stables overlooks Cadhay House with the kitchen door opening directly into the walled garden which has been converted into allotments for some of the local community. There are three bedrooms; one twin room, the other two rooms (one en-suite) can be super-king doubles or twin bedrooms which together comfortably sleep up to 6. There is an additional family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. The cottage has exposed beams, good quality furniture, antiques, bright rugs, interesting paintings and a cosy woodburner giving a homely comfortable atmosphere.

You will find all of the equipment you would expect from a modern and luxurious holiday cottage, including a well proportioned kitchen. This makes The Stables and all of our holiday cottages ideal for a self-catering break.

Additional Directions Information

From the east: Exit the A30 at the Iron Bridge exit just after Honiton. Follow the signs for Fairmile and then Cadhay.

From the west: Exit the A30 at the Pattesons Cross exit and follow the signs as above.

The Coach house and Stables are at the end of the front drive, the Cider Press along Cadhay lane.
