Benhall Farm Covid-19
We are reopening on 4th July 2020 for self catering and working in accordance of Government guidelines
Please note the following information over-rides information on the same topics elsewhere on our web site
Whilst we would like to keep things as normal as possible, in order to keep you and our family safe and comply with Government Guidance we have implemented a few changes.
The following are specific during the Covid-19 pandemic
You must not travel if you or any of your party are showing signs of any symptoms or have been contacted to isolate by the track and trace system
If you or someone in your group has symptoms of Covid-19 or you have been in contact with someone with symptoms please STAY AT HOME and let us know as soon as possible by email
If you or someone in your group develops symptoms whilst staying or you receive a track and trace alert whilst here you should vacate your accommodation and return to your home to self-isolate immediately. Please contact us as soon as possible 01989563900 along with contacting 111
You are not permitted under any circumstances to remain at the property with symptoms
We are asking guests to bring your own hand sanitizer anti-bac soap, sanitizing wipes and mask although you are not expected to wear a mask you may want one for shopping trips we advise you to bring shopping with you to avoid unnecessary journeys.
We are asking guests in the self-catering Garden Cottage & Granary to provide their own bed linen ( it’s a king double bed ) towels & pillows
To allow for extra cleaning please arrive after 3 pm we will sanitize keys and leave in door lock for your arrival
Please maintain social distancing at all times with other guests and take dare to adhere to Government guidance on what you can and can’t do.
If we have to enter the property e.g. maintenance we will do so once you have vacated the property.
We have removed some files and soft furnishings from the property
Prior to departure please make sure the property is clean and tidy, the cleaning job will be difficult this season please don’t make it harder.
Please leave windows and doors open to fully ventilate the accommodation
If you can check out early thankyou, we ask that you leave by no later than 10am
If the Government enforce travel restrictions meaning you are unable to come for your stay we will postpone your stay if you are unable to travel and we are open and operating our normal terms & conditions will apply unless you are put in lockdown by Government.

Self-Catering Accommodation
Booking & payment
To make a booking please contact Carol Brewer by telephone or email
We can accept most cards a deposit of £100.00 per week is required to confirm your booking
The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival
Deposits are not refundable
If your booking is less than 6 weeks away full payment will be required
Once the full holiday cost has been paid a detailed confirmation email or letter will be sent, you should notify us of any error in these details within 3 working days
Cancellation
Any cancellations by the guest must be made in writing and should be sent by post or email. The date from which the cancellation applies will be the date on which the cancellation notice is received by the proprietor
Charges
Should the guest need to cancel a confirmed booking for any reason, the following charges will apply
In the event of cancellation less than 41days prior to arrival if the proprietor re sells the accommodation the guest will receive a fund of the cost of the holiday excluding the deposit. However if the accommodation is not sold no refund will be made. It is strongly recommended that you take out a holiday insurance policy with an independent agent.
Period of hire
The period of hire commences at 2.30pm on the first Friday of hire and terminates at 10am on the last Friday of hire. Short Breaks are available at the discretion of the proprietor and may not be available in peak season. Please contact Carol Brewer a few days prior to your stay to confirm your time of arrival.

Booking and Cancellation
To make a booking please contact Carol Brewer, with your card details a deposit of the first nights rate will be taken, which is not refundable. If you cancel 1 week prior to arrival only the deposit is kept if you cancel during the week & we cannot relet your room the full amount of the booking will be taken
Arrival & departure
You may have access to your room any time after 2.30 pm and must vacate by 10.30 am on the day of departure. These times can vary to accommodate special circumstances by prior notice.
Please contact Carol a few days prior to arrival with an approximate time of arrival.
General Terms & Conditions
Should you or a member of your party have any mobility / access difficulties or have visual or hearing impairment please inform Carol prior to your arrival to ensure we are able to cater for your needs & ensure you have an enjoyable stay. All our bedrooms are on the first floor.
No Smoking Establishment
No Pets
Pets are not allowed in any of our accommodation
Damage
In the event of breakages or damage caused by the guest or member of their party, full payment is required for the actual cost of replacement or repair
Occupancy
The number of guests occupying a room must not exceed that stated in the accommodation details. All rooms are on the first floor.
Liability
The proprietor and its employees shall not be liable for any loss or damage to persons or property at any time

Introduction
We aim to cater for the needs of all our visitors in our farmhouse home for Bed & breakfast, and self-catering Garden Cottage & Granary.
The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific needs please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.
Pre-arrival
There is a bus stop approximately ½ mile away along Benhall Lane which is a No Through road some of which has pavement &up a slight incline. (Buses go to Ross-on-Wye or Hereford every hour.
The Main train station is in Hereford or Gloucester, both of which are approximately 16miles away.
We have a Webster with Photos of rooms.
All Bedrooms are on the first floor there is no WC on the ground floor.

Arrival & parking facilities
There is ample private free parking for all accommodation in front of the farmhouse.
We are happy to help with luggage if required.
Bed & Breakfast
The entrance is accessed from the tarmac parking area in front of the farmhouse
The front porch is up a small step 8cm the main door has 1 step 18cm the door is 95cm wide.
The entrance hall has wood floor with rugs. The Guest lounge / dinning room and main staircase is accessed from here.
The Guest lunge/dinning room has wooden floor with rugs.
The Lounge has a three seater, two-seater sofa & two armchairs, coffee table.
There are four wall lights & a gas imitation multifuel heater.
Television with video teletext /subtitles, radio with tape & CD player
The Bay window also has two armchairs & a coffee table.
Breakfast is served in the dinning area, furniture is flexible & can be moved on request.
The oval table has pedestal legs there are 7m chairs with out arms & 1 carvers.
We have waitress service for breakfast with a buffet for the cold starters.
We aim to cater for all dietary needs if we can, please request.
The Bed & Breakfast is totally non smoking & no pets.

Bedrooms
All 3 rooms are on the first floor with secure lockable doors.
Accessed from the stairs first 8 steps are wooden & 18cm deep next 8 are 18cm deep with short pile carpet there is a hand rail on both sides 68cm high & 18cm round.
The landing has a bell if you require assistance also a wardrobe with iron ironing board, book exchange, & board games.
One bedroom has short pile carpet, & cushion flooring in the bathrooms, two have wooden floor boards. All rooms have televisions with freeview & DVD teletext/subtitles, refrigerator, hospitality tray, bedside cabinets with lamps & radio alarms, wardrobes, & dressing tables.
One room has a king-size bed & shower ensuite, one twin beds which can be linked to form a super kingdouble with shower ensuite, & one a super king Four poster with bath & shower over ensuite.
The Garden Cottage Self-catering
The Entrance
To the cottage is from the tarmac parking area in front of the main house up 6 steps, & slightly sloping paved path.
The door has a 12cm step & is 98cm wide
Central heating is provided from the straw burner.
The entrance hall is tiled from here you access the lounge/kitchen/dinning room to the left & the Bedroom & bathroom to the right.
The kitchen area is tiled, & has kitchen base & wall units an electric oven, refrigerator, with small freezer compartment, microwave.
The lounge area has a beige short pile carpet, 2 seater sofa & 1 armchair, television with remote control teletext/subtitles, radio CD player & standard lamp, glass display cabinet
With guest literature of the area & board games.
The dinning are has an oval table with 2 carver & 2 standard dinning chairs.
The Bedroom
Has full short pile carpet, king-size bed chest of drawers with mirror, wardrobe, 2 bedside tables with lamps & radio alarm clock, 1 fireside chair, iron & ironing board.
The bathroom
Is fully carpeted has a bath with electric shower over vanity unit washbasin & WC. Airing cupboard (where vacuum cleaner is stored).
Outside the Cottage
Is a lawned area with table & chairs for guests use a BBQ is available this is stored in the farmhouse garage where guest bicycles can also be stored.
We can try & dry clothing on the clothesline outside or in the farmhouse kitchen overnight by request.

The Granary
Is access from the tarmac drive in front of the farmhouse up 6 steps 18cm deep
The doorstep is 18 cm door width 109cm, heated by night storage heaters & fully carpeted with short pile carpet.
The Granary is open plan the bedroom is screened with rush screens, it has a double bed 2 bedside tables with lamps & radio alarm clock, wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror.
The living area has a 2 seater sofa &1 armchair sideboard with guest information of the local area board games, television with remote control teletext/subtitles, & coat stand.
Dinning area has a round table & 4 standard chairs.
The kitchen area has fitted unit’s electric cooker microwave & refrigerator with small freezer compartment.
Shower room with electric shower WC vanity unit, wash basin.
