Details

In the heart of Galphay. A minute's walk from the village inn, the ground floor wheelhouse has exposed beams and vaulted ceilings

Situated within the Nidderdale AONB, Holme Grange Farm is a small working farm with pedigree Suffolk and Texel sheep, Hereford cattle, mules, ducks, geese, chickens, Kune Kune pigs and donkeys.

Our unique guest accommodation is a newly converted ground floor Wheelhouse featuring exposed roof beams and its own independent access. The large circular centrally heated bedroom has a king sized bed with feather and down duvet, 2 easy chairs, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, table top fridge, dressing table and stool, standard lamp and a hair dryer. There is also a dining table and 4 chairs where guests have the option of having breakfast or if required, guests are welcome to eat in the dining area of the main barn itself. This is ideal for families staying at The Wheelhouse.

For breakfast we serve our own free range eggs and endeavour to use produce from local suppliers wherever possible.

The en-suite bathroom has a large double shower, heated towel rail and shaver point. It also has a large winow giving plenty of natural light.

We also have folding beds suitable for children which The Wheelhouse can accommodate with ease, should they be required, making this accommodation suitable for families.

Guests are welcome to wander around the farm at leisure, making friends with the animals and if you are feeling energetic, perhaps helping with the morning/evening feeds or at lambing time helping to bottle feed the lambs. Our two lambing periods are January/February and March/April. Help is always welcome.

We are situated in the heart of the village of Galphay, opposite the village green, the other side of which is the village pub serving lunchtime and evening meals at reasonable prices. This is a minute's walk away from The Wheelhouse.
