Dogs by prior arrangement but must be kept on a lead at all times in the house.
We make an additional charge of £10 for dogs who are accepted into our home provided that owners pay for any damage.
Stabling for horses available £25 per night includes bedding, hayalge and tools.
Bookings may initially be made by email, phone or fax but will only be confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 25 % of the total amount due. The balance is due before departure.
All deposit payments are payable within 48 hours of making the booking request. Payment can be made by PayPal, Debit or Credit Card or sterling cheque payable to Thomas and Vint Ltd. On receipt of your deposit/payment a confirmation will be sent to you either by email or post to confirm the details.
Cancellations of accommodation:
The deposit is non-refundable. The cost of the first night booked is still payable if the booking is cancelled with less than 2 days notice of arrival. If we cancel a confirmed booking our liability is limited to the return of all payments received.
Guests are welcomed any time from 4.00pm – 10.00pm and are asked to vacate their rooms by 11.00am on the morning of departure, unless by special prior arrangement.
Please note that we have two dogs who live in the house.
We reserve the right to make any booking subject to a deposit against inventory and cleaning, refundable within one week after the stay has ended less any damaged or missing items.
The rooms and all equipment should be left clean and tidy at the end of the booking period. An additional charge may be made if extra cleaning is required. In the unfortunate event of a breakage or damage this should be reported to us as quickly as possible and paid for at the end of your stay.
We cannot accept any liability for any loss, damage or expenses of any kind sustained by a guest whatever the cause might be, including negligence.
Right of Entry:
The owner shall be allowed the right of entry to the rooms at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
Complaints or Queries:
If you have any problems please contact us immediately. Complaints not reported at the time cannot be entertained subsequently and it is regretted that no correspondence can be entered into in the case of complaints made after you have returned home, when it is impossible for them to be effectively investigated.

Set in peaceful Cotswold countryside between Banbury and Stratford-Upon-Avon, yet only ten minutes from the M40. Comfortable rooms and genuine farmhouse breakfasts.
An imposing grade II listed farmhouse offering spacious rooms with all the warmth and modern comforts essential for the perfect relaxing stay. Welcoming local pubs and abundant wildlife are only a short walk away.
Guests are invited to stay in our lovely house which offers a very comfortable lounge with TV and log fires in winter and French windows leading outside on to the patio for sunny days to relax looking over our gardens and listen to the wonderful birdlife in the surrounding trees, maybe spot one of our woodpeckers.
Real farmhouse breakfasts are served in the Breakfast room which has a wonderful large inglenook fireplace. We use our own fresh eggs from our rare breed hens and locally sourced sausage and bacon from pigs reared on our farm. For those wanting a lighter breakfast we offer a continental breakfast with homemade bread and homemade preserves and fresh coffee.
We offer a choice of three double bedrooms and one twin bedded room.
The West Wing comprises of a private suite of three rooms toilet, large bathroom with original rolltop bath and sink with feature fireplace looking out over the walled garden and a spacious comfortable kingsize bedroom looking out onto the gardens and croquet lawn. Furnished with antiques. This is an excellent room for guests wishing to bring their dogs
A lovely room in one of the oldest parts of the house with windows looking out over the walled garden. Beautiful original marble fireplace. Comfortable kingsize double bed with Edwardian mahogany furniture. Separate private shower room. This room works well as a family suite in conjunction with the Courtyard room
This room has views out over the Victorian courtyard. Two very comfortable single beds with built in wardrobes. Characterful sloping floor in this particularly old part of the house. Adjacent shower room.
Additional Directions Information
From the M40 south, at Junction 11 follow signs to Banbury A422, continue on A422 signed Wroxton, Stratford upon Avon. Drive through Wroxton, stay on the A422 and ignore signs to Hornton, just after the New Inn pub there is a wide turning on the right, signed Peter Bennie Hornton Grounds, turn in here and immediately take the turning to the right signed Hornton Grounds Farm, follow the long drive up to the trees and turn right after the tennis court and this will bring you to the front door.
From M40 north, take junction 12. Follow the signs to Gaydon, turn left into the village and follow the brown tourist signs to Upton House. Follow the A422, leave Warwickshire and enter Oxfordshire! As you pass the blue county sign the farm is on your left, take the first left turn and immediately turn right signed Hornton Grounds Farm follow the long drive up to the trees and turn right after the tennis court and this will bring you to the front door.
Ignore your sat nav. if it tries to send you into the village of Hornton! The Only access to Hornton Grounds is from A422.
We are in the Cotswolds in North Oxfordshire just 6 miles from Banbury and its excellent shopping centre and just 12 miles from Stratford upon Avon and Shakespeare’s birthplace and the theatre.
Exploring the villages of the Cotswolds is wonderful with shopping for antiques in Moreton in the Marsh or Stow on the Wold.
The National Trust property, Upton House, with its wonderful art collection and gardens is two minutes away and only a little further is Edgehill, site of the first battle in the Civil War. Walking through the woods in spring when Edgehill is a carpet of bluebells is breathtaking. The National Herb centre is close by and the gardens of Kiftsgate, Hidcote, Sezincote and Coughton Court are only a short drive. Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Broughton Castle are all under an hour away. A brief journey will bring you to Charlecote Park and Compton Verney.
Bloxham School and Tudor Hall School are close by.
Whether you want to have some serious retail therapy or quiet relaxation or explore the history of the area with its ancient churches and houses, Hornton Grounds makes an excellent country house retreat to stay in.
