Details

A converted single storey listed Byre with exposed beams, central heating and wood burning stove. It faces south in its own sunny and secluded garden, with a private parking space.

The byre is on a small, riverside, working farm, down a country lane, two miles from Kirkby Stephen between the Lake District and the Dales.  Pets, horses and cycles are welcome. We are surrounded by excellent walking and riding country, rich in wildlife.

Accommodation:  Living room with wood burning stove; fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and fridge; bedroom with double bed; bathroom with bath, hand basin and WC. Biomass fired central heating.

Prices include central heating, electricity, logs and bed linen. (£25 fuel supplement October-March).  Towels may be hired.

car arrival: Leave the M6 at junction 38 and take the A685 east towards Kirkby Stephen and Brough. In Kirkby Stephen, go through the market square and turn left at the first mini-roundabout (Signed Soulby). As you leave the town, by the Grammar school, take the left fork (signed Sandwath Pet Hotel). At the bottom of the hill fork right for Moorlands and then follow the lane for over a mile, straight on at the crossroads and take the right, just before the Ford.Alternatively, leave the A66 at Brough and take the A685 to Kirkby Stephen.
