Stunning Georgian Manor and charming 'country living' cottages, on the edge of Dartmoor. Wi-fi, woodfires, ensuites, pretty gardens, playarea/barn, farm animals, donkeys, farm shop, village pub.

The beautiful lovely self catering properties are set on the edge of the Dartmoor village of Hennock (pub 1/2 mile) and are steeped in history dating back to the 1780's when life took somewhat a slower pace of life. Just 2 miles from Bovey Tracey (gateway to Dartmoor) /A38 and 7 miles from the coast. Golf courses, fishing and riding within a 10 min drive.

EXPERIENCES - Daily Animal Feeding.  Come and help feed the donkeys, goats, rabbits and chickens.  Pick up the eggs and have a cuddle with a bunny.  New for 2019- Natural Learning/Forest School  session.  2hr of fun in our on farm native woodland for children (adult supervision required), forest school lead actvities, including camp fire cooking, den building, natural crafts and foraging. (Activities will be adjusted according to ages,and weather conditions. (Tue 23rd and 30th July 2019 and Tue 20th and 27th Aug 2019) Spaces limited, please ask for details.

Stickwick Manor (Sleeps 6-12 + 3 cots ) 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms (4 ensuite). Can interconnect with Farmhouse to sleep 19. A very spacious home with grand reception rooms and spacious bedrooms (2 with elegant slipper baths in the room). Set over three floors, the rooms have charm and character and the dining room has a large antique mahogany table (seats 12-14) and inglenook fireplace (extra tables and the room can seat 24) and living room a cosy wood burner.

Stickwick Farmhouse (Sleeps 2- 7 + 2 cots) 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite). Can interconnect with Manor to sleep 19. This property has beautiful exposed oak beams with stone features and wood burners that ooze Devon farmhouse character.

Stickwick Cottage (Sleeps 2-5 + cot) 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite). Provides cosy comfortable country style accommodation. Children and pets welcome and open all year, Stickwick is ideal for all ages and special occasions, as all 24 of you can dine togther.

Stickwick Manor House

A lovely Georgian family home set in the beautiful countryside of South Devon

Sleeps: up to 12 people in 7 bedrooms, with 6 bathrooms (4 ensuite), children/pets welcome, can connect with Farmhouse to sleep a total of 19.

This south facing Manor House in South Devon is a great holiday retreat for families or groups (Manor can sleep 12 single persons when beds are split). It’s a very spacious home with grand reception rooms and spacious bedrooms. Set over three floors, the rooms have charm and character and the dining room has a large inglenook fireplace.

Atmosphere: Informal, comfortable country house, see image gallery and property layout.

Living: The spacious hall leads to an elegant drawing room seating twelve with deep comfy sofas and chairs. Features include a window seat, wood burner, stucco ceiling and original wooden shutters. 37’’ digital TV with built in Free view, DVD/video player and CD player with i pod dock.
The dining room is great for large dinner parties with a large Victorian mahogany table, seating 14 (20 in the room with use of other tables) and walk in inglenook fireplace. The farmhouse style kitchen has all the usual modern appliances, fridge, large double oven gas range, oil fired Rayburn, microwave, 22in Tv with Free View and dishwasher.

Bedrooms: The seven bedrooms are set over the 1st and 2nd floors of the house.

1st floor – 4 bedrooms - (3 rooms with front views)

Bedroom 1: Large room with French style Super king size (6ft x 6.6ft) bed with furnishings in keeping with this style. Large picture window with a seat and fine panoramic views.
Bedroom 2: Opposite side of the landing another large room with a zip & link King size (6ft x 6.3ft) bed or Twin, plus single bed, with ensuite shower/bathroom. Furnished in style with the property. Large picture window with seat overlooking the gardens.
Bedroom 3: Pretty single bedroom, front views.

Bedroom 4: Twin room with ensuite bathroom.

2nd Floor – (3 rooms with front views)
Original Servants quarters but now pretty country style bedrooms with antique funiture and furnishings, simply charming throughout.

This adjoining Farmhouse has beautiful exposed oak beams and stone features. An ideal property if you’re looking for a traditional Devon farmhouse oozing with character.

Atmosphere: comfortable, traditional farmhouse, see image gallery or property layout.

Living: The spacious, traditional farmhouse with tiled entrance hall has a lovely lounge with an original stone fireplace with wood burner and comfortable seating arrangements, 32in digital TV with Free view, DVD/video player and CD player. The separate dining room has wonderful exposed oak beams, a stonewall feature, original dresser, large oak dining table, wood burner, picture windows/shutters and 21in TV with built in Freeview and DVD player. This is a unique Devonian property that you’ll talk about for years. The country style kitchen has all the usual modern appliances, fridge, single oven gas range, microwave and dishwasher.

Bedrooms: The three bedrooms are on the first floor of the farmhouse.

The cottage adjoins the Manor House and provides very separate comfortable cottage style accommodation.

Atmosphere: cosy comfortable cottage, see image gallery and property layout.

Living: The traditional cottage has a country style kitchen/diner with modern appliances including gas hob, electric oven/grill, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The entrance lobby leads to a delightful living room with comfortable furnishings, digital TV with Free view, DVD player, CD player, exposed beams, wood burner effect electric fire and there are fine views over the lovely Devon countryside. This is a pretty cottage, ideal for a holiday with family or friends.

Bedrooms: The two bedrooms are on the 1st floor of the cottage.

1st floor – 2 bedrooms The Bedroom windows are on the floor level (fitted with safety catches) and overlook the garden.

Bedroom 1: A very spacious room with double bed plus a single bed. The ensuite shower room with electric shower, wc and washbasin.
Bedroom 2: Compact twin bedded room.

Bathrooms 1st floor – Separate bathroom suite with bath, wc and washbasin. Ensuite shower room to Bedroom 1 (electric shower, wc and washbasin).

The M5 converts into the A38 from Exeter to Plymouth.
After approx 12 miles from Exeter, leave the A38 where it is signposted Kingsteignton, Chudleigh Knighton (B3344) and Teign Valley.
Proceed to Chudleigh Knighton village; turn right opposite the shop, go past the Claycutters Arms and after approximately ½ mile turn right (Dunley cross roads), signposted to Hennock.
Proceed up this road for 2 miles and Stickwick is signposted on the left, just before the village of Hennock.

If you are travelling from Bovey Tracey, take the Chudleigh Knighton Road (B3344) and turn left at Dunley Cross signposted to Hennock. Proceed up this road for 2 miles and Stickwick is signposted on the left, just before the village of Hennock.
