Group of eight self-catering cottages set amidst beautiful open Yorkshire Dales countryside close to Forest of Bowland, Three Peaks and only three miles from small market town of Settle.

Layhead Farm Cottages consists of eight imaginatively converted old stone barns. The resulting self catering cottages have been carefully refurbished to a high standard.  

All have modern amenities, but retain both charm and character, and are warm and cosy, offering the guest a true home-from-home feeling.  

All the cottages have private parking, garden areas and good access. Perfect for holidays, family celebrations and small meetings.

Quiet and peaceful location, three miles from small market town of Settle, for shops, restaurants and cafes.  Convenient for the famous Settle/Carlisle Railway, and local attractions in Yorkshire Dales  area.

The excellent facilities and space make this cottage the ideal venue for a family or group. 

The holiday cottage boasts a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, oil fired Rayburn, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The adjoining dining room seats eight at a large pine table. There is a cosy lounge, open fire, colour TV, and DVD player. The farmhouse has full central heating.   

Enclosed garden at back and barbecue area with garden furniture. 

To the side of the house is private parking, a gravelled patio area with seating and a barbeque and to the front a country cottage garden complete with roses.

Crabapple is the smallest cottage and sleeps two people in one bedroom.  Converted from an existing barn to include an en-suite wet room providing level access to shower, WC and WHB. 

This cosy, south facing cottage has an airy living/dining/kitchen room with modern appliances, dining table and comfortable furniture. 

The original barn doorway makes a lovely arched window and the original beams can still be seen.  Views across the open field from both the lounge and the bedroom are breathtaking. 

The bedroom has a choice of either twin beds or a superking double bed (we need advance notice with your booking which you prefer) and plenty of storage space. 

Outside there is a private south facing patio looking over open fields. 

Also provided are a table and chairs and a private car parking space. 

Please note, this property does not have a seperate freezer but freezer space can be provided if required.

Marshfield Cottage, is an original stone barn converted to retain many of it's original features.

The barn sleeps 6, with twin bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. The first floor has been converted to provide a house bathroom, twin bedroom and a gallery double bedroom, which provides views both up and down the River Ribble valley.

The cottage is fully centrally heated.

The main living area, which is open to the original timbered roof, has a central open fire. The lounge area has TV and DVD. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer.

From the lounge, French windows lead onto a sunny separate dining room conservatory with open views across theYorkshire countryside to the village of Long Preston and the hills beyond.

The cottage has the benefit of a patio and garden area with timber furniture and barbeque. 

Access to the cottage is by a private drive; parking is alongside the cottage.

Mickleden Cottage is an innovatively converted farm building, which can offer a combination of holiday accommodation tailored to suit the needs of 2 to 11 persons. This cottage is ideal for groups and celebrations as each generation can participate in the fun and still enjoy some privacy of their own - all within the same cottage.

Let as a whole Mickleden provides 5 bedrooms, 2 with en-suite facilities as well as a house bathroom and separate shower room. In addition the property benefits from 2 kitchens, 2 lounges and 2 patios. The dining area comfortably seats 11 persons.

Mickleden East Cottage is a large, light and airy cottage with combined kitchen, dining room and lounge set beneath pine beams and a high roof with velux  windows.
 
The modern well-equipped kitchen area has an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.
 
The lounge featuring a comfortable leather suite, TV, and DVD leads through French windows to a patio with barbeque and views across open fields to Pen-y-Ghent.
 
The twin bedroom has a spacious en-suite shower room with the capability of manoeuvring a wheelchair.
 
An additional room with double plus single bed with en-suite can be added by incorporating Mickleden South.
 
There is plenty of parking adjacent to the cottage.

Garden Cottage is exaclty as its name suggests because it is situated within the Georgian walled garden of Field House, which is separated from, but nearby to the other cottages. It has its own private access, parking, patio and stunnings views across open meadows on the south side and a large beautiful private garden facing west.

Carefully converted, the cottage sleeps 2 people in one bedroom and benefits from a well equipped, modern kitchen including fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

There is a sunny lounge/dining room, first floor en-suite (bath and shower), separate WC and bedroom with beautiful views of open fields and the garden.

We offer the option of twin beds or a super-king size double bed, but need advance notice with your booking form of which you prefer.

The Stables Cottage has a private driveway and is situated a quater of a mile from the other holiday cottages, across from Rosemary's own home. Converted from the house stables, with two imaginatively furnished spacious en-suite bedrooms, one twin , one double.  Each bedroom has colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Downstairs is a cosy lounge with patio doors and open views, a fully-fitted kitchen and drying area and laundry facility. Full central heating.

Outside there is a patio and small garden - a quiet, peaceful place to sit,eat and drink.

A mobile barbeque is available.

A65 Leeds - Kendal road. Two miles north of Long Preston at roundabout take first exit then first left turn under Railway Bridge. Two miles to village of Rathmell, pass church on left, at end of village look for Layhead Farm Cottages sign, turn right into lane, follow signs to cottages.
