Experience a holiday in the beautiful tranquil Northumbrian countryside in our lovingly renovated single storey farm labourers cottage. Yummy homemade cakes, homely fires-paradise.

Your holiday is as important to us as it is special to you, from the moment you arrive you will enjoy tranquility among rolling fields and woodland close to the beautiful coastline of Bamburgh and Holy Island.  We will personally greet you and welcome you to Laverock Law , a small row of single storey farm labourers cottages which have been lovingly renovated to provide you with all you need for a fantastic holiday.

In the kitchen you will find a selection of local foods, including homemade bread and the cake of your choice, made fresh with our own eggs. Rest at the end of your journey in front of the log burning fire or in the cottages own garden, listening to the birdsong all around you.

Skylark Cottage is perfectly located, you can walk or cycle from the doorstep, exploring the nearby Kyloe Hills where you will be rewarded with breathtaking coastal views. Take a short trip and drive across the tidal causeway to take in the magic of Holy Island with its history, beaches and birdlife. Walk along the wide open beaches, below Bamburgh Castle, or take a short boat trip to get up close to the seals, puffins and other seabirds on the Farne Islands.

On the rare wet day (we are actually in one of the dryest parts of the country) there is still plenty to do, historic castles to invade, market towns to explore and back in the cottage a wide selection of games and books for all ages, as well as DVD's and iPod docking station. We will also lay on breadmaking and feltmaking courses for children (adults always welcome) as an extra holiday activity (small additional charge).

Skylark Cottage is a nature lovers paradise, in the evening you will marvel at the wide open skies, filled with a myriad of stars, maybe enjoy a campfire in the woods with toasted marshmallows and then retire to sleep under luxurious down duvets with organic bedding.

Laverock Law is a truly special place, we look forward to welcoming you.

Swallow Cottage is graded 4 star gold.
