Three charming cottages on Cliftonhill, our organic farm, just three miles from Kelso, a bustling market town. Log burner and biomass heating. Wonderful views, walks and wildlife. Peace and quiet.

Plum Tree is a delightful cottage converted from a barn. It has comfortable Austrian sleigh beds with French windows which open out onto the decking where you can take in breathtaking views while dining alfresco or enjoying an evening drink while the sun goes down. On those chilly evenings, cosy up with the wonderful woodburner and biomass heating, making the cottages extra warm. 

 

Cockle Kitty Cottage was converted from a barn and has lovely views across rolling country side to the Cheviot Hills on the horizon.  Cockle Kitty is on ground level, with two bedrooms . One twin and one double. The beds are prepared for your arrival and towels are provided. The south facing patio is sheltered and enjoys panoramic views. Recliners and table and chairs. Log burner and biomass heating, perfect to cosy up to.

 

Garden Bank Cottage is on ground level with lovely views across lovely countryside to the River Eden and the Cheviot Hills on the horizon. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. (showers and no baths). The double is an en suite with an Austrian sleigh bed. The large wet room is adjacent to the twin bedroom. The beds are prepared and towels are provided. The sunny sitting room / kitchen has south facing french windows, with a wood burner and a dining table and chairs for 4.  Log burner and biomass heating throughout.

Relax in the beautiful surroundings on the organic farm by the Eden river with river walks, wild flower meadow, fishing and wildlife. If you fancy some sport, take advantage of our tennis court set in beautiful surroundings or take a cycle along quiet country roads.   Meals can be delivered to your door on request from Puddle Duck.

A romantic little cottage for 2. It has a delightful beamed living room with a sumptuous pink Laura Ashley  sofa beside the wood burning stove and sky TV. French - windows lead out to the south facing decked garden with new bar b q and recliners.

Well equipped galley kitchen with dining table. Bath room with overhead shower. Spiral stairs wind through the wooden beams to the sunny bed room, with a king-size Austrian sleigh bed, french windows and small balcony. Enjoy the sun rising and huge starry skies and admire the beautiful views across rolling farmland to the Cheviot Hills on the horizon.

Garden Bank Cottage is part of a converted barn on an organic farm in a quiet corner of the Scottish Borders. Beautful views and river walks on our organic farm.

It has un-interrupted views over beautiful rolling countryside to the Cheviot hills. It has a double bed room with a King size Austrian sleigh bed en - suite shower room and a twin bedded room + shower room. Garden furniture, Barbeque, all weather - tennis court, river walks and wild life. Kelso has unique shops and lovely eating places.

It has easy walking access and is disabled (wheel chair) friendly.

Cockle Kitty Cottage is a perfect place to stay providing excellent facilities for cottage self catering in the Scottish Borders near Kelso! Summer or Winter! It is situated in a quiet corner of the Scottish Borders on an organic farm. It has a comfortable sitting room/dining room with a smart TV, large sofa beside the wood burner and large table to enjoy meals sourced from the wonderful butchers and fish shop in Kelso.  Biomass heating throughout.

The hemmel arch window allows the morning sun to bathe the room in light. Starry skies are a delight also. The kitchen is well equipped and has a door onto the decking where you can relax on the new recliners and light up the barbeque and enjoy a magical view.  South facing sunny patio with swing chairs.

One field away is the Eden water perfect for relaxing by, paddling, fishing and birdwatching.

Plum Braes Barn is signposted in Ednam and is just 1/2 mile from Ednam B6461 and also on the Berwick-Coldstream - Kelso road. A698. There is a bus stop in Ednam. Edmondston House is 1/4 mile along from Plum Braes Barn.
Kelso - 3 miles - there is a convenient path all the way from Kelso to Plum Braes Barn.

Edinburgh - one hours drive, 40 miles. 1 3/4 hours by bus.

Edinburgh airport - 1 1/4 hours drive.

Tweedbank train station - 25 minutes drive, 12 miles

Berwick train station - 35 minutes drive, 20 miles, Buses Berwick to Ednam.

Newcastle airport - 11/2 hours drive.

Hull Ferry

London - Train is really handy - just 3 1/2 hours to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Hire a car or taxi from the station.

London - fly to Edinburgh - 1 hour. Taxi to the Edinburgh apartments, tram, or bus. Just 20 minutes. Taxi works out the same rate if there are 4 people.
