Beautiful award winning dog friendly holiday accommodation overlooking a wildlife pond with hot tub. Perfect for couples but spacious for a family of six.

Award winning beautiful country cottage with hot tub near Whitchurch in Shropshire nestled in the heart of 103 acres of farmland on the Cheshire/Shropshire border near Whitchurch.

Oakpond Cottage is central for the Stafforshire/Shropshire/Cheshire and Welsh countys with attractions and walk on all sides.

Oakpond Cottage overlooks its own wildlife pond which is a haven for wildlife and birds and can be viewed from every window in the cottage.

This lovely award winning cottage is cosy enough to sleep 2 people to a family of 6 with a reduced price for couples and one well behaved dog is welcome.

The cottage does have an annex Oaktree which can sleep 2 people or can be booked woth Oakpond to sleep 8 people but can be booked seperately but we do not allow dogs in this cottage.  We also have a lovely dog friendly bungalow in the village which has walks from the doorstep.  Both propertys have a safe and secure garden for children and dogs.

Oakpond is in a rural location but only a 10 minute drive to the two market towns of Whitchurch and Market Drayton and a canalside village with its own boating marina and tearooms plus there are two great dog friendly pubs close by with one having a footpath to Brown Moss Nature Reserve.

We welcome 2 horses and have a menage. There are lovely hacks down the country lanes as well as the farm ride at Ash.

For the walkers we have the Beeston and Peckforton Hills and Hawkestone Follies as well as the canals walks on the Shropshire Union Canals.

Route 45 passes the end of our lane with 4 very scenic routes for the cyclists. We do have a secure lock-up bike storage next to the cottage.

Dearnford Lake is close by as 3 other pools for the fishermen and Hawkestone Park chamionship golf course and 3 others are within easy reach for the golfers.

An acient  moss nature reserve and forest is only a 5 minute drive from oakpond with its scenic walks and wildlife on the lake.

Guests are welcome to walk down to our farm and meet the animals and see how we farm.

We do hire our indoor hydrotherapy spa which is very relaxing after a good days walking or cycling. Bromine is used as it is kinder to the skin and does not have a strong odour unlike chlorine which is used in many hot tubs and public baths. (Extra charge for this facility which is private and not shared)

Lovely country farm cottage with beautiful annex  nestled  between 103 acres of our  fields which overlooks a wildlife pond on a working farm on which we have cattle and horses.

This lovely home from home cottage is on the Cheshire/Shropshire border and is close to an award winning canalside village with tearooms and shops with lots of circular walks.  Lots of national trust houses close by as well as castles.  Ironbridge is a 40 minute drive from the cottage.  The cottage is on the Cheshire/Shropshire border with the welsh and staffordshire borders on the edge.

Guests are most welcome to come down to the farm and see our animals and how we farm.

Oakpond is on the Cheshire/Shropshire border thus many attractions to see as wel as the Staffordshire and Welsh border.

Beeston Hills and the sandstone trail and lots of national trust houses and gardens.

Close to Chester/Staffordshire/Shrewsbury and the welsh border.
