Sullington Manor Farm is a mixed, beef and arable, farm with many walks including the South Downs Way in a beautiful, peaceful location on the South Downs. (Full details and photos on our own website.) Outdoor swimming pool with springboard and slide, tennis court, table tennis and barbecues. Shops, pubs and restaurants of Storrington 1/2 mile away. Beaches, Chichester and Brighton 30 mins. London 1 hour by regular train service. Many historic houses, castles and gardens in this lovely part of England.

One double bedroom (4ft 6ins/135cm bed), one twin bedroom (two 3ft/90cm beds) and family bathroom with shower over the bath. In 2 Byre Cottages the twin room is the larger bedroom and has space to accommodate a folding bed/cot if required. Folding beds, cots and highchairs can be provided by arrangement. There is a South (the sunny side!) facing private patio with barbeque and furniture. Plenty of parking.

4 Byre Cottages is the only three bedroomed cottage and has an original, slightly uneven, stone step of approx 6ins/15cms into the cottage.  

In 2015, 4 Byre Cottages has been refurbished and has a completely new kitchen complete with dishwasher. It features a hallway leading to an open plan living room and separate dining conservatory. Along the hallway to the right of the front door are a double bedroom (one 4ft 6ins/135cms bed), next to that a small bunk room (two 2ft 6ins/75cms beds), a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, and at the end a twin bedroom (two 3ft/90cm beds) with en-suite shower room.

in 1921, an electric milking parlour was established at Sullington Manor Farm, on the site of 4 Byre Cottages.

  • The Saxon church of St Mary's, Sullington is nestled among the farm buildings.

5 Byre Cottages stands alone, separated slightly from the other cottages and has a separate car entry/parking area off Sullington Lane. There is a small step, approx 3ins/8cms into the cottage.

This holiday cottage opens onto open plan living/dining room and kitchen. It features one double bedroom with a small double bed (4ft/60cm bed), a twin bedroom (two 3ft/90cm beds), a bathroom with shower over bath. Private patio with barbeque and furniture. The twin bedroom is the larger room and the beds can be fixed into a bunk bed to accommodate a folding bed/cot. Folding beds, cots and highchairs can be provided by arrangement. 5 Byre Cottages now benefits from a brand new bathroom – the bathroom was completely replaced during December 2012.

Additional Directions Information

Car arrival: From the A24 southbound carriageway turn right onto the A283 at the Washington Roundabout. Continue heading west on the A283 for 1 mile and turn left signposted to Sullington parish church. Take right hand fork at end of lane and when you arrive in the farmyard the cottages are on your left. Please knock at the farmhouse to make known your arrival.
