Dalemain is a house that needs to be full of people. This is as true today as it always has been and as much as it is a home to my wife, myself and our children, it is a living, working entitiy that is of much wider importance and interest to the many people whose lives come into contact with it in one way or another. We love it as our home, a very special house with an extraordinarily warm and welcoming atmosphere, and it is our pleasure to share it with the many visitors and friends who chance upon it.

We are home to 'The World's Original Marmalade Awards & Festival' held annually in March at Dalemain and this year our message is clear 'Cumbria is Open for Business' despite the recent flooding and the Marmalade Festival is a great way to launch the new season for visitors.
