Danny Alexander Supports Farmhouse Breakfast

Danny Alexander MP joined Farm Stay UK, Visit Scotland and local businesses at a charity event to support Farmhouse Breakfast Week last Friday. Culloden Moor B&B provider and local farmers, Rosanne and Iain Mackay of Leanach Farm, Culloden Moor, hosted the event on 30th January featuring locally sourced sausages and bacon Munro’s in Dingwall, black pudding from A&I Quality Butchers, Culloden and fresh bread and rolls from Harry Gows.

Rosanne Mackay, recently appointed as Regional Director for Scotland for Farm Stay UK commented “it was great for Danny to see rural tourism in action and the important links that local suppliers have with the tourism industry, helping to maintain and grow local employment, and the quality product that visitors to this area can expect.” Andy Woodward, Chief Executive of Farm Stay UK, who joined the local event agreed by adding “small local businesses such as Leanach Farm really help our guests get truly experience the countryside; who wouldn’t want to start a day with a fantastic, cooked to order Scottish breakfast before exploring this beautiful landscape”.

The breakfast also raised over £100 for the Archie Foundation.
