Mercaston Hall farmhouse bed and breakfast is situated in the rural hamlet of Mercaston, halfway between Derby and Ashbourne. We are an ideal base for visits and walks in the Peak District, very many tourist attractions and stately homes. 

We also take well behaved dogs and have paddocks available if you stay with your horse

We are a sixty acre, mainly sheep farm but also have pigs, hens and ducks. You may see herons, buzzards and a large variety of garden birds, wild animals and there are well stocked carp ponds with various ducks and sometimes geese.

We have a hard tennis court for your use.

The Old Milking Parlour provides an attractive beamed function/party room.   We also have hard standing which can accommodate a marquee.

A comfortable superking zip and link bed so it may be used as either a double or a twin room. it also has room to put up a z-bed as a third bed space.  There is an ensuite bathroom with a shower.  A smart tv and a small fridge with real milk, as well as a hospitality tray.  A floor length Georgian sash window gives an extensive view of the countryside.

From Ashbourne A52: In Brailsford turn left down Luke Lane (signposted Mercaston). After 1 mile at 1st crossroads, turn right (signposted Mugginton). In 1 mile you go past Mugginton, turn on left, (signed Kedleston) & the house is 300 metres on right.

From Derby A52: In Kirk Langley, at crossroads turn right down Flagshaw Lane, over crossroads in 1.4miles and continue onto Slade Lane for 0.7miles. At T junction turn left and we are 200 metres on your left.
