Luccombe Holidays is a collection of eleven comfortable and fully equipped self-catering cottages and the flexible accommodation is suitable for all groups and ages including the young and elderly.
Set in 650 acres of beautiful rolling downland in a private hidden valley, ¾ mile from the main road, Luccombe is a traditional working family farm with nature and wildlife in abundance. There are wonderful walks as well as many secluded spots for guests to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Voted as one of the “10 Best UK Family Farmstays” by The Guardian, Luccombe offers fantastic facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, gymnasium, games room, children's play area, tennis court, ping pong, woodland activity hut & walk, garden games, a Fairy & Elf door hunt, lakeside BBQ and a star gazing platform with superb views.
There is a Riding School on the farm and, for the adventurous, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Fly Fishing can also be arranged.
There is a fantastic Tearoom on the farm track which is open daily serving hot and cold drinks, as well a selection of sweet and savoury dishes. Luccombe is also located within walking distance (10-15 minutes across the fields) of Milton Abbas which is a charming historic thatched village. Here you can find the 15th Century Milton Abbey, a post office and the wonderful and well-stocked farm shop, Steeptonbill.
For a local family & dog friendly pub serving delicious homemade food, The Royal Oak in Milborne St Andrew in just a few minutes' drive away where every Sunday they offer a magnificent carvery (voted the best Sunday Lunch in Dorset!)
Also, not far from Luccombe, is the stunning Langham Wine Estate. With views of the vineyard and winery, it’s the perfect place to taste their award winning sparkling wines, have a bite to eat or enjoy a lazy afternoon cream tea.
A ten-minute drive away you will find Blandford Forum, a small Georgian town on the banks of the River Stour. With fascinating architecture, a variety of cafes, coffee shops, pubs and a wonderful market place, Blandford is also home to one of Dorset’s breweries, Hall & Woodhouse (famous for the award winning Badger beers).
Also nearby is Dorchester, world famous for its strong connection with the writer and poet Thomas Hardy. Here you can find excellent shopping facilities, restaurants, cafes, bars and bistros, museums, glorious gardens and river walks.
There is an abundance of activities to do locally with something to do or see in any direction. The Jurassic coast is just 15 miles away with breath-taking scenery, wonderful walks and the sandy beaches of Studland, Sandbanks, Swanage and Weymouth are within easy reach. Dorset is a fantastic destination for all ages and has plenty of attractions such as:

Couples, singles, family parties, the young, the elderly, those seeking peace and rest, or frenetic activities, are all welcome here. There is also a barn available for family groups to dine together if they are celebrating a special occasion.
All guests departing on a Sunday are welcome to stay until 4pm, free of charge, to make the most of their weekend.
