Set within a 57 acre Registered Historic Parkland (CADW/English Heritage) and only 2 miles from Coed Llandegla Mountain Bike Centre which makes it an ideal location for the biking enthusiast.

East wing of a Grade II Listed Historic Manor-house was renovated into a self catering property accommodating 4 people. Young families particularly welcome with cot, stair-gates and high chair all available on request.

Sitting room - Free-standing oil stove, Satellite TV (freesat) with Samsung Internet TV (Netflix subscription included). Two double sofas. iPod docking station. DAB radio. WiFi (av speed 4.5Mb/s)

2 Bedrooms - 1st bedroom with a king size bed, 2nd bedroom with two single beds (3.25m by 3.55m). Due to the old character of the house, the bedrooms on the 1st floor are inter-linked; it is necessary to go through the bedroom with the king size bed to reach the bedroom with the 2 singles. All beds are Laura Ashley Victorian style and are already made up on your arrival with polycotton sheets and covers for the duvets.

Chester only 18 miles, Llangollen 8 miles, we are easily accessible, yet you will be entering a different land with the Llantysilio Mountain range (AONB) on our doorstep - a site of special scientific interest, is a haven for nature lovers and historians.

The price is inclusive of oil for heating, electricity, towels and linen (most guests like to bring their own linen for the cot) and the beds are already made up. The following are supplied within the accommodation: usual kitchen requirements; sugar, salt etc, kitchen rolls, dishwasher tablets and fluid, Towels and toilet rolls, you only need to bring food and wine.

Contract

Cancellations

Compensation will not be payable where any change or cancellation plans result from force majeure. Except where otherwise expressly stated in these Conditions, we will not be liable for any changes, cancellations, effect on your holiday, loss or damage suffered by you or for any failure by us to properly perform any of their respective obligations to you which is due to any event(s) or circumstance(s) beyond the reasonable control of us (referred to as force majeure in these Conditions). By way of example, force majeure includes fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, pandemics, destruction or damage of the property by any cause (other than negligence of us) and all similar situations. No compensation, expenses, costs or other sums of any description (including without limitation the cost of securing an alternative property/accommodation) will be payable in such circumstances by us to you.

Weather and Snowfall

We will not be able to offer you a refund if you are unable to enter the property because of any weather condition, be it snowfall or otherwise. You are strongly advised to take out independent holiday cancellation insurance to cover you for having to cancel your holiday due to heavy snowfall or any other conditions which may affect your journey and arrival.

Illness and Bereavement

Unfortunately due to illness or bereavement we can’t cancel or change your booking; for this reason we recommend taking out holiday insurance.

Prices

We reserve the right to amend advertised prices at any time. We also reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices. Note: changes and errors sometimes occur. You must check the price of your chosen arrangements at the time of booking.

Capacity

It is a booking condition that the number of people occupying the property may not exceed the advertised capacity, without prior written consent. Suppliers may terminate your booking without refund in the event you breach this condition in accordance with their terms and conditions. In some circumstances we do allow day guests for an extra fee (on request).

Candles – No naked flame candles are allowed in the venue, please use LED only.

Behaviour- We expect all our clients to have consideration for other people in the vicinity, with particular focus on noise levels after 10.00pm. If in the owner or property managers reasonable opinion, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to the property, or in any way damage the reputation and/or goodwill of the Owner we are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the occupation of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the property. We will have no further responsibility toward such person(s). No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination. Should we receive complaints concerning your behaviour and specifically noise, we reserve the right to permanently withhold some or all of your refundable damage charge.

External suppliers – Prior to your stay, we must be notified of contact details of any external suppliers coming onto the venue. A generator will be necessary if an electrical source is required externally.

Utility Supply – Plas yn Yale cannot accept responsibility for a shortage of water or a lack of electricity at the Accommodation where this is as a result of a drought, an act or omission of the relevant water or electricity supply company, or for any other reason outside of Ashbourne Self Catering Ltd’s reasonable control.

Insurance – Guests’ personal belongings are not covered by our insurance.

Substances – We operate a zero-tolerance policy with regards to illegal substances and so-called legal highs. If any evidence is found of substance use, we reserve the right to withhold your damage charge.

From the South (Shrewsbury).
From Shrewsbury take the A5 to Llangollen. In Llangollen take right turn at main traffic lights – signposted 'Ruthin – A542' & 'Horseshoe Pass'. Proceed along the High Street and over the bridge (River Dee). At the T-junction turn left– again sign posted 'Ruthin – A542' & 'Horseshoe Pass'. Continue for approx 7 miles – driving up the Horseshoe Pass – past the Ponderosa Café on your right.

At roundabout turn left, signpost 'Corwen – A5104'. Plas yn Ial is situated on the A5104 – 3rd farm on the right from the roundabout (approximately 1 mile from the roundabout). Slow down after passing the 2nd farm – and look for our sign 'Plas yn Ial' road verge on the right - sign also reflects a cars headlights. Drive up the 'driveway' leading up through parkland to the house.


From the North (Chester).
Wrexham A483. Exit A483 at junction 4 -signpost ‘Ruthin A525’. Right turn for Ruthin. Proceed through the town of Coedpoeth and village of Bwlchgwyn (highest Village in Wales). Continue over moor land. After passing the Plough Inn – but before the Crown Inn by the traffic lights, take a left turn on the A5104 – signposted ‘Corwen’. Continue to a roundabout.
At the roundabout, proceed straight over - signpost ‘Corwen – A5104’. Plas yn iâl is situated on the A5104 – 3rd farm on the right from the roundabout. Farm situated approx. 1 mile from the said roundabout. Slow down after passing the 2nd farm - you will see our sign: ‘Plas yn Iâl’ hanging by road verge with a drive leading up through parkland to the house.

From the West (from Bala)

Take the A494 from Bala travelling towards Corwen. Join the A5 for 1 mile passing Rhug Farm Shop on your right. At the next traffic lights take the left road signposted for Chester onto the A5104. Continue along this road for 7 miles passing the signs for Bryneglwys. Plas yn ial is on the same A5104. Plas yn ial is approx 2 miles along the same A5104 from Bryneglwys towards Chester. One passes a farm which protrudes out into the main road from the left. Plas yn ial is in the wood on the left…look out for a green hanging sign with ’Plas yn ial’

SatNav – post code LL11 3BD howver please note that we share our postcode with 3 other farms - we have discovered that SatNavs usually centre this postcode on the first farm on the right from the above mentioned roundabout - please proceed along the main road to reach the third farm on the right. Slow down after passing the 2nd farm – and look for our green sign 'Plas yn ial' road verge on the right - sign also reflects a cars headlights (see photo below). Drive up the 'driveway' leading up through parkland to the house.
