The first floor is dedicated to the art collection showcasing 500 years of magnificent paintings, drawings, silver, sculpture and ceramics from Tudor Times to the present day. The museum is considered to have the best collection of French impressionist paintings outside France.

Various exhibitions are also held throughout the year.
