And of course a "reet proper Yarkshire" breakfast is served too to set you up for the day with the majority of ingredients locally sourced including juicy sausages from the happy Porkers on the farm next door!
Returning after a busy day exploring the glorious local villages, or visiting the many National Trust properties you can relax on the south facing terrace in the sunshine or chill in our parlour with a glass of complementary sherry or port and some glossy magazines. The local area is scattered with beautiful little Yorkshire villages full of character, National Trust properties, excellent and interesting walks and cycle routes, award winning inns and restaurants, and of course the historic City of York with its Roman walls and famous racecourse.
Further afield to explore is the stunning Yorkshire coast with the resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, the Yorkshire Dales and Herriot country, the North York Moors, and easily accesible by train from York the vibrant metropolis of Leeds with it's excellent shops and restaurants and live music scene.
