Superbly restored barns with great views across the cornfields right outside the door! Skylarks, buzzards, hares, NT attractions, National Forest walks, cottages for 2 to 22!

Set amid the rolling cornfields of Leicestershire’s idyllic countryside, award- winning Upper Rectory Farm Cottages provide the perfect setting for holidays, short breaks, special occasions and corporate retreats.
The converted barns sit around three pretty courtyards, surrounded by cornfields. We’ve sympathetically restored the original granaries, cowsheds, dairies and stabling to preserve the character of our working arable farm and tastefully converted the interiors of our Leicestershire holiday cottages to include every home comfort from home made flapjacks to free wifi.

We have cottages with one, two three and four bedrooms and the unique design means we can interconnect several of the cottages to create cosy retreats for romantic weekends, multi-roomed cottages for extended family and friends reunions or comfortable communal spaces with private sleeping arrangements for mid-week corporate away-days. We can interconnect our three largest self catering cottages around one of the courtyards to form one large country retreat for parties of up to 22.

Each of our luxury cottages has an open plan lounge, country-style kitchen and dining area. Exposed brick, rustic slate and plenty of original oak beams and floors retain the working farm authenticity of our comfortable interiors while beautiful fabrics from the likes of Osborne & Little and Designers Guild ramp up the refined rural chic. To help everyone feel at home on the farm, our decor is contemporary country style with natural materials and pale walls providing the backdrop for graceful soft furnishing and elegant accessories.
Every cottage has a comfortable lounge area with flatscreen TV and Freeview box, DVD and free Wi-Fi. Bedrooms each have one double or two twin beds with cosy duvets, crisp white linen and snuggly throws, and all have en suite facilities.
French windows lead onto a patio in the shared courtyard or lawned area with panoramic views across the cornfields.
Contemporary garden furniture ... and skylarks…. complete the perfect picture!

6 luxurious cottages sleeping from 2 - 8.

The old barns are luxuriously furnished with fabrics from e.g., Osbourne and Little, Designers Guild, JP Baker, etc and have oak floors, deep squidgy settees, crisp white linen – not to mention a wealth of original old beams.
The cottages have either one, two three or four bedrooms. Each bedroom sleeps 2 in either one double or two single beds and all have either an ensuite bathroom (bath with overhead shower) or an ensuite shower room. In a separate courtyard there are 3 three-bedroom cottages which may all be joined together to sleep up to 22 and in the centre of these cottages is a dining/party room, The Refectory, with it’s own separate kitchen where everyone can sit around the table together. Our wonderful caterer will come and cook for you in this kitchen ( a minimum of 16 guests) to make your stay really relaxing!
Each cottage has a kitchen/sitting room which has electric cooker, freezer, fridge and microwave, and each sitting area has flat-screen TV, DVD and CD player – plus loads of tourist information. In fact there is a file on each coffee table with over 60 places to go or things to do within a maximum of 30 minute’s drive, most much nearer! Also there is a “Buy Local” file, walking route file and cycling routes file – not to mention lots of board games and a video library of over 100 videos – you won’t be bored at Upper Rectory!
