World Pasty Making Championships held in Cornwall

Bakers from all over the world are competing in Cornwall this weekend at the annual world pasty making championships.  What has become known as the 'Oscars of the oggies' is taking place at the world famous Eden Project this weekend.  The event is always held on the Saturday before St. Pirans Day - Cornwall's national day.  Both ingredients and competitors have come to the event from all over the world and the event will conclude with the Great Cornish Crimp Off when competitors will compete to see who is the best at adding the trademark pattern.
