Peak House Farm open afternoon to launch raw milk

Sunday 16th August 2015 at Peak House Farm, Whitchurch, RG28 7QJ.  3pm - 6pm.

Watch the cows being milked, meet some of the herd, cream teas, education stand on health benefits and their own clotted cream fudge for sale.

At a time when dairy farmers are struggling to keep going as milk prices sink below the cost of the production and as a consumer it is difficult to buy fresh milk produced locally this is a must for our members at Peak House Farm.

Here is some information for you but would urge anyone interested in real milk - raw or otherwise to find out more.

Jenny Stevens tells Farm Stay UK - her husband and sons are passionate about the cows and the farm, but due to the terrible milk price they have to act now.

• We farm in the most natural way, know all our cows by name
• Our cows are mainly grass fed in the summer and in loose yards on lovely deep straw beds in the winter.
• Our raw milk is in its most natural state nothing added nothing taken away and contains only 4% fat.
• Awarded our certificate to sell raw milk, an ongoing goal to maintain these extremely high standards
• We recognise that raw milk is not for everyone and we have a warning on our milk bottles that this milk is not heated treated. We definitely would not advise drinking it by pregnant or nursing mothers or the very young or old or anyone in anyway medically compromised.
